We have had this humidifier for a year now and it’s still going strong. It can make a 425 SQ ft room hot boxed with how much moister it can create. You can also adjust the two pointers it has to get humidity to go in different directions or a specific direction. It has a hot mode and a cool water mode which is great for different things! I also love that it has an essential oil filter where you can add essential oils for relaxation. It’s the best humor on Amazon.

I dont like leaving reviews until Ive had a chance to break in a product. Well sure enough as much as I love the list and quietness of this product as well as smartphone integration the warm mist is now dead feature. Guess I need to get it exchanged now as I planned on buying a second unit as well. Ill be calling on Monday after speaking to Amazon. 5/30/23 - Unit replaced under warranty. Lets hope this one lasts longer than 3 months. Customer service was great in handleing my issue.

In-built hygrometer is woeful. I have two different hygrometers, one is +/- 5% accuracy and the other is +/- 1% accuracy, both of which are usually within 2-3% reading of each other. The Levoit’s in-built hygrometer reading is woefully inaccurate: when the unit is on, it fluctuates wildly in a +/- 10% band around the reading of my two hygrometers; when off, it is always a solid 10% or more below. Worse, the (incorrect) reading can go from 40% to 20% the moment you turn off the unit—doesn’t make sense at all. Because of this inaccuracy, while the auto function is nice in theory, it is actually useless in practice because the unit automatically turns off and on based on faulty readings and not based on the actual humidity. Also, the minimum target humidity is 40%, which can hardly be reached on a dry winter day, so “auto” is effectively “always on”. Cool mist is ineffective. I have two hygrometers to check it. Warm mist is ok. Maximum warm mist is the setting I’ve been using. I can see the humidity budge by maybe about 3-4% in my 300 sq ft space, better than nothing. However, for the amount of logistics around getting distilled water for the unit, it’s not effective enough for me to justify continuing to use this unit.

Does it’s job but a bit of a pain to clean. I run it almost constantly during fall and winter. Needs a deep vinegar cleaning almost weekly even when using purified water. Otherwise no complaints.

The water container is difficult to replace on the base. This is because the handle is on the top, which is on the bottom of the sink when you turn it over to fill it. Once it is full, you have to manhandle it to turn it over so you can grasp the handle. Since it is wet you have to be careful not to let is slip because it is plastic and could break. The filler lid should have been put on the top if the designers had been on their toes.

I have a regular cold mist humidifier and it doesn’t work as well as this one. When I use just a regular cold mist humidifier I end up with a bad cough and sinus congestion. But this model of levoit humidifier I have an option for warm mist and it comes with two different types of filters for the water. I have always used distilled water for this humidifier and with the two filters it’s amazing. It can raise the humidity level within a few minutes on the low setting. It also barely makes any noise besides on the highest temperature (warm mist only). Cleaning the product is also easy since most of the parts can be removed and dried. The app feature is also a plus.

The Water Tank started to leak after I filled it up from the bottom last night. I have had this unit for about 2 weeks and it has been great and helps me sleep better. Unfortunately when I screwed on the cap and turned it over it started to leak quite a bit. Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to over tighten? Could a gasket or something similar have fallen out? Please help. I wrote to LEVOIT and asked about getting a new gasket sent to me but that part wasnt available. Skyler was my contact and he sent me the exact inner and outer diameters and thickness of the silicone gasket. I searched and found similar but not exact gaskets and tried them to see if they would fix the leaking water. Unfortunately with water, close is not close enough. I was about to cut the gasket into 3 pieces and superglue them to the cap to seal it permanently. I knew by doing this I was going to ruin the cap if it didnt work. I asked Skyler if they could send me the whole cap. He said he would ask and a few days later Skyler said they had one and it was on its way to me. I received it a couple of days ago and I tried it out and it worked perfectly. I ran it for a couple of nights and there were no leaks!! I find that I sleep much better when I have the LEVOIT Humidifier running. Thanks to Skyler and LEVOIT!! Excellent customer service!!

Only use if you’re a renter - bad for your hvac due to sonic features. Works fast and is impressive!

I usually wait a few weeks or longer before writing reviews, No need to wait for this one. I am starting to like Levoit products, got an air purifier, stick vac and this. Holds over a gallon, which I like, my last one was just shy of a gallon, which was awkward. Looks like it would hold about 1.5, never tried more than a gallon. Last about 24 hrs on low with that, and I consider that very good. I have it set to turn off after 8am when I typically am not there, doesnt have an auto on feature wish it did, but I turn it back on around 8am to run all night, so that right there saves on water -[itll pop up a note on your phone, if you want, when it runs out of water] Nice you can turn off the display easily, just has a 2 digit % humidity reading, but at night its quite a beacon. Not only for me but for my guitars, I have acoustics hanging on my wall and they warp without humidity, so its essential for my playing to keep them humidified. Seems like it may be a bear to clean from reading the instructions, havent got that far yet. Reason its a 4 star and not a 5 - The scent pad doesnt seem to do a thing, tried loading it with a couple scents and really could not smell them, so thats a disappointment. Other than that, a superior product.

This is WAY better than the Canopy humidifier I had (what a piece of garbage). Like all humidifiers, I wish the cleaning obligations were less burdensome but it is what it is. Mostly, this is a great product & im happy with the purchase. The only thing I wish were better is the diffuser. I really don’t smell anything in the bedroom I use this in. The manual does say not to expect a strong scent but I don’t smell anything at all.
