> 3 dayFirst of all, I want to say, that I (and my plants) loved this unit, and it has worked fine the 3 months I have used it. However, I have found that this mist humidifier (and all mist humidifiers, I guess) goes through my house and leaves a fine mist of white dust on my furnace filter, which makes my furnace short cycle! I have never heard of this before, but I had a heating guy in my house yesterday (for an unrelated issue) and he was telling me about that, and of many customers who have this issue. I think distilled water would be the best, but Ive been using about 2 gallons a day, and am not going to buy that much distilled water! Now, I have to figure out what to do, to get humidity into my house! :(

> 3 dayGets the job done. First one I’ve owned and used regularly (recent transplant from the coast, so never needed it before) and it’s definitely easy to use. The options in the app control make it easy to set and forget.

> 3 dayThe Water Tank started to leak after I filled it up from the bottom last night. I have had this unit for about 2 weeks and it has been great and helps me sleep better. Unfortunately when I screwed on the cap and turned it over it started to leak quite a bit. Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to over tighten? Could a gasket or something similar have fallen out? Please help. I wrote to LEVOIT and asked about getting a new gasket sent to me but that part wasnt available. Skyler was my contact and he sent me the exact inner and outer diameters and thickness of the silicone gasket. I searched and found similar but not exact gaskets and tried them to see if they would fix the leaking water. Unfortunately with water, close is not close enough. I was about to cut the gasket into 3 pieces and superglue them to the cap to seal it permanently. I knew by doing this I was going to ruin the cap if it didnt work. I asked Skyler if they could send me the whole cap. He said he would ask and a few days later Skyler said they had one and it was on its way to me. I received it a couple of days ago and I tried it out and it worked perfectly. I ran it for a couple of nights and there were no leaks!! I find that I sleep much better when I have the LEVOIT Humidifier running. Thanks to Skyler and LEVOIT!! Excellent customer service!!

> 3 dayThis is my third humidifier - my prior purchases were much cheaper and this is worth every dollar. Best features are a timer, automatically adjusting to the humidity, it shows you the humidity in the room in real-time, and the warm mist function is a game changer. The only difficulty I will say is cleaning it. It has a lot of moving parts to be cleaned. Outside of that, I would recommend.

> 3 dayI dont like leaving reviews until Ive had a chance to break in a product. Well sure enough as much as I love the list and quietness of this product as well as smartphone integration the warm mist is now dead feature. Guess I need to get it exchanged now as I planned on buying a second unit as well. Ill be calling on Monday after speaking to Amazon. 5/30/23 - Unit replaced under warranty. Lets hope this one lasts longer than 3 months. Customer service was great in handleing my issue.

> 3 dayI researched for a couple weeks before choosing the Levoit 6L warm/cool humidifier. I chose it because of the water capacity, noise level and essential oil reservoir. I’ve had smaller room evaporative humidifiers with fans and filters that were annoying and noisy to have in a bedroom. I am pleased with the whisper noise level while using warm mist. My bedroom is about 250sq ft. First night I ran low mist and low heat continuous and it ran for 20 hrs. Second night I set it at low mist low heat and 50% it ran for 23 hrs. The 50% setting kept the room at 41-43% although the humidifier said 45-50%. My hygrometer is 8’ from humidifier. These percentages will differ as the outdoors humidity changes. This humidifier is the best I’ve owned for noise and humidity output. Although it does have a couple things that aren’t all that great. #1. The essential oil reservoir is an awesome idea. It just doesn’t produce much aroma after trying plenty of two different brands of essential oils. This isn’t a deal breaker for me. #2 The tank is a bottom fill. It isn’t awful but a top fill would be nice. #3 The humidifier isn’t responsible for this. I will tell you that using tap water will create a very thick white dust everywhere! I did have this in the back of my mind when I bought it. On “LOW” this puts out “LOTS” of mist therefore “LOTS” of mineral dust. Still not a deal breaker. After the two nights I stopped running it and ordered a water distiller. ** Update ** Distiller arrived! dust cleaned up and….. Distilled water leaves no mineral dust! Wonderful. Bottom line: For me it’s a keeper. Midwest winters are very dry and I am confident this will do it’s job with ease. Hopefully it will last a few seasons with doing routine cleanings. I first used tap water and after two tanks, of course the dust, but the area under the little pad where it vibrates was totally packed with mineral build up. It did clean out ok with soaking it with white vinegar and using the included brush. Now that I am using distilled water I clean it every 5 tanks… and really there isn’t much of a build up yet. I just want to keep bacteria and mold from growing. It is so simple to clean and it certainly can’t hurt.

> 3 dayThis is a great company to work with. We have two of their humidifiers and one started leaking. It was after the return time on Amazon and so I reached out to the company. Without hesitation, they sent me a new unit which is working great as well. Definitely will buy my next humidifier from this company.

Greater than one weekThe water container is difficult to replace on the base. This is because the handle is on the top, which is on the bottom of the sink when you turn it over to fill it. Once it is full, you have to manhandle it to turn it over so you can grasp the handle. Since it is wet you have to be careful not to let is slip because it is plastic and could break. The filler lid should have been put on the top if the designers had been on their toes.

> 3 dayIt does a great job of putting moisture in the air and is a fine mist.
