We have had this humidifier for a year now and it’s still going strong. It can make a 425 SQ ft room hot boxed with how much moister it can create. You can also adjust the two pointers it has to get humidity to go in different directions or a specific direction. It has a hot mode and a cool water mode which is great for different things! I also love that it has an essential oil filter where you can add essential oils for relaxation. It’s the best humor on Amazon.

Ive owned around 5 different humidifiers in the last 30 years. This is one is by for the best Ive ever used. I use mine in the bedroom to help with dryness and allergies. It is extremely quiet. If you are awake in the middle of the night you might hear an occasional brief but very quiet gurgle (air bubble). Set the desired humidity level and it will cycle on and off to keep it there. I have mine set at 55% humidity and it seems perfect for me. Mine runs around 10 hours a day and I have to refill it every 5 days or so. I use reverse osmosis filtered water and there is no musty smell in the tank. Ive been using it 4 months and hope it lasts. I did purchase the extended warranty through Amazon just in case.

I wish it had a refill cap on the top so I dont need to remove the whole tank to refill the tank! This is especially important if kids need to refill the tank, there are some risk of slipping the tank from kids hand when filled with water and heavy!

I researched for a couple weeks before choosing the Levoit 6L warm/cool humidifier. I chose it because of the water capacity, noise level and essential oil reservoir. I’ve had smaller room evaporative humidifiers with fans and filters that were annoying and noisy to have in a bedroom. I am pleased with the whisper noise level while using warm mist. My bedroom is about 250sq ft. First night I ran low mist and low heat continuous and it ran for 20 hrs. Second night I set it at low mist low heat and 50% it ran for 23 hrs. The 50% setting kept the room at 41-43% although the humidifier said 45-50%. My hygrometer is 8’ from humidifier. These percentages will differ as the outdoors humidity changes. This humidifier is the best I’ve owned for noise and humidity output. Although it does have a couple things that aren’t all that great. #1. The essential oil reservoir is an awesome idea. It just doesn’t produce much aroma after trying plenty of two different brands of essential oils. This isn’t a deal breaker for me. #2 The tank is a bottom fill. It isn’t awful but a top fill would be nice. #3 The humidifier isn’t responsible for this. I will tell you that using tap water will create a very thick white dust everywhere! I did have this in the back of my mind when I bought it. On “LOW” this puts out “LOTS” of mist therefore “LOTS” of mineral dust. Still not a deal breaker. After the two nights I stopped running it and ordered a water distiller. ** Update ** Distiller arrived! dust cleaned up and….. Distilled water leaves no mineral dust! Wonderful. Bottom line: For me it’s a keeper. Midwest winters are very dry and I am confident this will do it’s job with ease. Hopefully it will last a few seasons with doing routine cleanings. I first used tap water and after two tanks, of course the dust, but the area under the little pad where it vibrates was totally packed with mineral build up. It did clean out ok with soaking it with white vinegar and using the included brush. Now that I am using distilled water I clean it every 5 tanks… and really there isn’t much of a build up yet. I just want to keep bacteria and mold from growing. It is so simple to clean and it certainly can’t hurt.

First of all, I want to say, that I (and my plants) loved this unit, and it has worked fine the 3 months I have used it. However, I have found that this mist humidifier (and all mist humidifiers, I guess) goes through my house and leaves a fine mist of white dust on my furnace filter, which makes my furnace short cycle! I have never heard of this before, but I had a heating guy in my house yesterday (for an unrelated issue) and he was telling me about that, and of many customers who have this issue. I think distilled water would be the best, but Ive been using about 2 gallons a day, and am not going to buy that much distilled water! Now, I have to figure out what to do, to get humidity into my house! :(

We purchased 3 of these 2 years ago. They all continue to work well. They are easy to clean which has made me more likely to clean them than any other humidifier I’ve ever had. During our recent move, I somehow lost a gasket to one of the basins. Without the gasket, the basin leaks everywhere which effectively means I couldn’t use the machine. I contacted Levoit to buy a replacement part. Although they do not sell or even produce parts for replace, the rep said she would send me one as soon as she could get one. After a couple months, I assumed it was never coming, but today it arrived! I’m utterly impressed that she was willing to keep an eye out for the part for this long and mailed to me free of charge. It’s rare to find home electronics that work well for years *and* have good customer service. I totally recommend these.

I use this humidifier just at night when sleeping. I probably use about 3 gallons of distilled water a week. Its easy to clean and use. My main concern is the sleep mode. Unless I did something wrong or misunderstood, I tried sleep mode one night and the humidifier kept going all night and didnt shut off. The moisture level got high and irritated my allergy symptoms. Since then I only use the auto mode. That always shuts off once the set moisture level is reached. When sleeping Ive turned off the display which is really nice! Ive even fallen asleep with it on without issues. I really like that I can use the app to turn it on/off, set the levels, get notifications if the water runs out, and etc. Finally this humidifier is small enough for this scoliosis person to fill (top fill), clean and carry (has a handle) with no problems.

With the dry winter air in the bedroom overnight, my cats chronic rhinitis was flaring up -- he sometimes sneezes 8 or 10 times in a row and his eyes look sore. I set this up on a bedside table -- it is so quiet -- and it runs all night on a gallon of distilled water (cool mist). In one week, his congestion has improved, few sneezes and little eye discharge. He sleeps on the side of the bed where the mist descends. Also, he can be a picky eater: stuffy nose, impaired smelling ability, loss of appetite. His appetite has improved. Happier cat for sure. UPDATE: 2 months later. I switched to Brita-filtered water without any problem so far, because buying 7 or more gallons of distilled water per week is too costly. Use distilled white vinegar to rinse and wipe out tank and base once per week. ALSO, this is not top-loading. You do not bring the water to the humidifier. Instead, you remove the tank, flip it over onto a flat surface, remove (and replace) a large cap, pour in water, flip it back over, and set it back on the base. This is easy for me to do, but a gallon of water is heavy and any person with arm/hand strength issues may have a hard time. STILL, my cat and I are free of the usual winter allergy-noses and the machine works very well, shutting itself off when the desired humidity is reached.

This product is very quiet. I love the 3 mist settings and being able to actually see the level of humidity in the room. You definitely need to use some kind of carbon filter pellets in there if you have hard water. The tank is quite large. Wish this was a top loading tank though. This is not the easiest to clean. There are alot of parts under the tank and although alot of them come apart and come out, there are alot of small places not so easy to reach. Overall I really like this product.
