Its a good monitor ignoring its HDR spec but my main issue is that its just SO DANG BRIGHT even at the lowest setting to the point where I always leave it on the lowest brightness and it still singes my eyes. I wish LG would release firmware for it that let it get dimmer without sacrificing color accuracy but I know they wont do it for a low tier product like this. If you really hate bright screens and usually leave your phone on low or very low brightness then look into some other stuff because late night gaming with this will sing your eyes and make sure to keep you awake.

Monitor died after 5 months of use. It powers on but the screen remains blank, it wont even show its own menus. Any computer it plugs into will freeze up and enter a boot loop until unplugged from the monitor. The monitor is well within the manufacturer warranty but the process is so deliberately obtuse that it may as well not exist. This is my last LG product for sure. Update: It took a few weeks of having to repeatedly ask if a shipping label had been sent before a CSR was able to confirm that one would be arriving. It did eventually show up and I was able to box up the monitor and drop it off with fedex at no charge to myself. Other than the tracking number I was given for the shipment to the repair facility I was not given any additional information at any point about the repair status. A few weeks later a new fedex tracking number was sent to me for the return trip; it arrived about a week later. It does appear to be working as expected again. We will see how long it lasts. My experience with the repair process seems about average, other reviewers have described both much faster/smoother experiences and much longer/difficult ones. In any case I am happy to have a working monitor or again and despite the inconvenience I am relatively pleased with the whole interaction.

This monitor is well worth the price for a budget friendly quality gaming monitor that is name brand. My only issue i have had is the original one was delivered on a really rainy stormy day and the monitor / packaging was ruined. Amazon effortlessly replaced it and it was delivered 2 days later. The key things you need to understand about the monitor: HDMI ports are HDMI 2.0, not 2.1. Best they can support is 1080p @ 120hz or 1440hz @ 100hz (series X can only do 60hz or 120hz, so i was limited to 1080p through the HDMI port). Easy fix for this is to get an HDMI 2.1 cable TO DisplayPort 1.4 CABLE ADAPTER. Quick amazon or google search and you can find one. I now have full use of monitor graphics playing on my xbox series X. TLDR; the powerful specs of this monitor are through DisplayPort. If you have HDMI only you WILL need to buy an adapter to use the DISPLAYPORT aspect. Otherwise well worth the money for name brand.

I picked this monitor up for my playstation 5. The picture quality is good and the build quality was fair for the price point.. overall I was happy with the purchase.. The monitor lasted 6 months and left me with a black screen. LG policy is for me to ship back to them for a repair, I have no option to ship back to Amazon for replacement.. either way, Im going to be out a monitor for a while.. Maybe I just had bad luck or maybe the monitor line has an issue.. I guess the reviews will decide.

Received monitor in a timely fashion, but it doesnt work as advertised. Claims to work at 144hz refresh rate, but glitches out with green/white/blue lines across the screen when running at 144hz. The screen will also go blank for as little as 3 seconds to up to 30 seconds making games unplayable when it occurs. When switching down to 120hz cap on refresh rate, monitor works fine, but that isnt what I purchased the screen for. Wanted to get a replacement through Amazon but they refused to give me a replacement, only offered to refund me which I did not want a refund since I got the monitor on a discounted deal. Now I am trying to get LG to repair the monitor but they arent capable of sending a shipping label to my email when they say I should be receiving it. I am now on my third attempt trying to get a repair shipping label from LG since they said they cannot send them immediately, it should be sent by the end of the day. Worst experience with both Amazon and LG ever. Would not recommend either since neither are willing to replace the monitor. Update: Was able to send the unit for repair through the LG website. This has been the worst experience I have ever had to deal with. First it took 5 attempts to get their support staff to send an email with the shipping label which took over a week of back and forth them telling me to wait and then me complaining that it shouldnt be this difficult to send me a shipping label. Though the repair took about 1 week after the allotted shipping time which was quick. The downside was the unit was not fixed at all, it still had the same issue where it would get a line glitching across the screen and then goes blank for up to 30 seconds. So now the day I got it back I am now being asked to wait for another shipping label for them to repair my unit again, this time I asked for a new unit as replacement but they refused since they demand I have to send it in at least 3 times for repair before that can be an option. LG make terrible products and I will actively tell others to avoid their garbage products and support. Update 2: Just received the monitor from repairs from LG, they sent it without the power cable and am now waiting to hear back about what they can do for me. Cant even test the monitor if it has been properly fixed until I get a new power cable. Very disappointing and extremely frustrating experience dealing with their support services for repairs.

To get 144Hz from this monitor you have to set the monitor to the following settings: • FreeSync Premium— Off • Response Time— Faster • Smart Energy Saving— Off • HDMI Compatibility Mode— Off • HDR— Off • DAS Mode— On Also, you must use the right port on the monitor— HDMI Port 1 or the Display Port (depending on which cable you use). There are also certain limitations you might face if using an HDMI cable (ports before HDMI 2.1) and not display port. All of this is to say, the monitor only hits 144Hz under specific conditions, and there is no instructions on achieving this included. This is definitely something that should be easier to achieve, or perhaps even it’s own all-in-one setting. However, I like many others had to find this out with lots of research; very frustrating. As for everything else regarding this monitor: I’ve also seen some comments about concerns over mounting this monitor. I purchased a Huanuo, dual arm desk mount and it works great. I included a photo and you can see there isn’t much additional room though, so be aware if you are planning to mount this, as the mounting holes are recessed in the back of the monitor. Finally, the power cable for this monitor really sucks. The brick is huge, taking up a ton of space on my extension cable, and the cord itself isn’t very long either. Could definitely do with something better in that regard. All in all this is a good monitor, just some unexpected hiccups as a first time buyer.

These LG Ultragear Gaming Monitors are still great in 2023. From the 1440p & 144hz, to the amazing OSD/UI for your desired settings. The stub on the bottom controls the OSD, and WOW! I never thought navigating through a OSD was so seemless (as Ive only had office Monitors before hand). Great upgrade, and excellent product. Note: Most people dont know about the required 1y warranty by LG. Just contact them, tell them the problem, and send it in to be repaired.

I upgraded to this from a 2008 1920x1200 2ms monitor. So I have to say my view may be skewed through that lens. That being said, I am very happy with this purchase. I have an EVGA RTX 3090 FTW and it pumps out great visuals at 1440p! Most games will max out at the 143fps (Windows 11 has a weird thing about decimals in refresh rates, so it defaults to 143 which is entirely fine with me. The viewing angles are very good and when compared side-by-side with my older monitor it is much less glossy. I can see my towers RGB reflecting in my old monitor like a mirror, but on this monitor its just a rainbow colored smudge that I never even notice unless Im looking for it against a black background. The shortcomings would be its lackluster HDR performance and also youre going to want to use a DisplayPort cable to ensure youre getting the max refresh rate with variable refresh rate through your Nvidia/AMD card. For the price, this is an excellent monitor that will look very good in a desktop setup. It even has an audio out port in case you want to use this with a console and not have to depend on headphones for audio.

This monitor gets the job done EXACTLY the way I need it to. I bought this monitor since I wanted to upgrade my picture quality from 1080p to 4K for a few years now and lately I have been putting my screens in grayscale to prevent myself from allocating too much time on activities that shouldnt be prioritized during certain times of the day and week; however, this monitor doesnt have a preset grayscale setting, so if you want to create one like I did then go to one of the premade settings, select Picture Adjust, and turn all of the Six Color settings to zero and hit save. I also setup another premade setting to be exactly like my custom grayscale setting but with color so I can easily and quickly switch between both modes.

Thought this would be a great budget option to upgrade from my 27 1080p 60hz LG monitor as I own a PS5 and wanted to have improved resolution and response time. Im more of a casual gamer so I primarily use my monitor for work from home tasks and teams sharing. After using for for WFH I noticed significant eye strain compared to my previous monitor. May be just adjusting to the smaller resolution but I saw a lot of users with similar issues on Reddit. After more research I realized this is using a BOE MV270QHM-NF1 panel and not an LG panel and I also observed significant glow in the lower left hand corner. Gaming on my PS5 was great (turn off adaptive sync to get 1440p 120hz) but ultimately as this is a productivity first monitor I had to send it back. If youre just looking for a strictly gaming option at an affordable price wait for it to drop down to $246 and pick it up.

Immerse yourself in your favorite games with this fast IPS monitor featuring a 1ms (GtG) response time, wide viewing angles, and high color accuracy with sRGB 99%. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly, while Black Stabilizer allows you to see them more clearly in the dark. Use the Crosshair feature for enhanced vision and precision in first-person shooters.
