> 3 dayEverything I write is MY PERSONAL opinion. It may not match yours. I apologize if the monitor is bad for you. And thank you if the review was helpful. That was good choice. Good price, big enough, good picture, good refresh rate, it realy bright, colours are correct (for my eyes). Cables, 1.5 meters, included (1 HDMI, 1 DP). Flexible setting of parameters for yourself, and there are also presets that you can reconfigure. Everything works great so far. It has glare on the left bottom corner. I noticed it during the loading screen of Windows. First thought was that everything is bad, but then i forgot about it. In dark games I didnt see it. Cant say it about films, because I still havent watched so dark. Dont think that its gonna be a big problem The image becomes hazy only at an angle of about 150-160 degrees, but, anyway, still looks acceptable.

> 3 dayThese LG Ultragear Gaming Monitors are still great in 2023. From the 1440p & 144hz, to the amazing OSD/UI for your desired settings. The stub on the bottom controls the OSD, and WOW! I never thought navigating through a OSD was so seemless (as Ive only had office Monitors before hand). Great upgrade, and excellent product. Note: Most people dont know about the required 1y warranty by LG. Just contact them, tell them the problem, and send it in to be repaired.

> 3 dayIts been about 2 weeks short of year since I bought this monitor, I just purchased another one so i can finally retire my 15yo 1920x1200 monitor. I really love this monitor, i play a lot of different video games and I also use mapping and remote imaging software, its been great for both. I have 0 problems to report besides that for best results youll probably want to re-calibrate it. Besides the amazing quality and color another thing i love is the controls, the joystick in the bottom of the screen and the menu are easy to use and understand, and its very easy to turn on and off. The aesthetic look of it is amazing, although most of the flashiness is in the back and I am likely the only person who will ever see it. The stand works very well, is fully adjustable and can be installed in a few seconds and you dont need any tools or screws, i used it for a bit but then switched to a different visa desk mount, but it wasnt because i didnt like the included stand, it seemed to support the weight of the monitor very nicely. The only thing I would add is to be very careful handling it, i suspect that many of the reports of problems with the screen is a result of improper handling, or the occasional DOA. I kept the box for when i move, and follow the instructions on how to handle it and have had nothing but love for this monitor.

> 3 dayIts a good monitor ignoring its HDR spec but my main issue is that its just SO DANG BRIGHT even at the lowest setting to the point where I always leave it on the lowest brightness and it still singes my eyes. I wish LG would release firmware for it that let it get dimmer without sacrificing color accuracy but I know they wont do it for a low tier product like this. If you really hate bright screens and usually leave your phone on low or very low brightness then look into some other stuff because late night gaming with this will sing your eyes and make sure to keep you awake.

Greater than one weekI bought this monitor for both remote work and gaming about six months ago and its been a significant upgrade from my old Dell U2711, which is now my second monitor. The feature set is good for the price and Ive recommended this monitor to others who are looking for an upgrade for their gaming rig. Pros: - Good picture with low ghosting at high refresh frame rates, when driven from an NVIDIA card in G-SYNC Compatible mode at 144Hz over DisplayPort. The monitor has a setting to control the response time vs. ringing tradeoff, and also shows in the OSD the current frame rates being received from the video card. - Supports HDR video input. - Control panel is fast and responds immediately to joystick controls, unlike some other monitors Ive used that have annoying delays in the menu controls. This includes fast input switching, which I do a lot from having two computers hooked to it. - Runs cool, can barely feel any heat emitted. - No problems taking off the default stand and mounting on a standard VESA monitor arm. Cons: - Some backlight bleed in the lower-left corner, though Ive gotten used to it. From what Ive heard, this can vary significantly from unit to unit. - Really poor sound quality, which sounds like loud bursts of noise when listening to music. Its noticeably worse than any other audio output I have, including the U2711, laptop headphone jack, or USB-C dock, driving it over DisplayPort or HDMI, and with either an NVIDIA or Intel graphics card output. Couldnt figure it out until I played a sine wave sweep in Audacity and heard blatant aliasing around 6KHz. Do not get this monitor if you care about quality from the audio output. - HDR over HDMI from a GTX 1650 Super on Windows 10 was distorted (compressed), though DisplayPort input was fine. Its also not very good at HDR in general, but its useful if you just need to be able to test or experiment with HDR and dont care much about HDR image quality. Additional gotchas: - It has a lot of picture settings that are poorly documented with not necessarily good defaults and can produce a bad quality image. For instance, theres no indication of what Gamma 1 through 4 correspond to. Before gauging the picture quality, reset the Black Stabilizer to 50, double-check against some calibration images, and try the sRGB preset. Fixing this really improved the picture quality. - The monitor can take a 4K (3840x2160) signal and advertises that it can do so over HDMI, even though the panel is only 2560x1440. This can cause Windows to send it a 4K signal even though the resolution is set to 2560x1440, resulting in a blurry image. It can take some fiddling with Windows display and graphics drivers settings to fix this (active signal resolution = 2560x1440 in Settings).

> 3 dayGiven the usual stellar reviews this has had, I thought Id add a note about my experience. I purchased this monitor ALMOST a year ago. That almost is important. I was completely and totally satisfied with it. The colors were sharp, the response times were phenomenal, and I couldnt have been more satisfied with it. Unfortunately, today, it died. Not a blank screen of death, but a prismatic screen of death.. I know it was the monitor because my SECOND monitor was still working great, and the menu of this monitor wouldnt even show. It was a white, segmented line in the middle of the screen. The colors were pretty, but functionally, it was completely borked. That said, it WAS still under warranty. I communicated with LG support, who asked for the invoice and serial number, then arranged to have a box shipped and a prepaid shipping label e-mailed to me, leaving me only with the task of packing the monitor up and dropping it off at the carrier theyve selected to be repaired/replaced. The turn-around time, according to the rep, was 2-3 weeks. So IF you have a warranty on it, you get NO HASSLES in getting it fixed for free. And because of my experience, I am considering investing in some extended warranties if theyre still offered. The interesting thing is that I have a 12 year old ASUS LCD monitor that still works (last time I tried it) that Ill use as my second screen until this monitor is fixed and returned. I can limp along with a second monitor literally half of the resolution of this one until this one is fixed. So, one star off for dying within a year, but no MORE than that because LG gave me NO hassles in getting it sent to them and fixed/replaced (whichever the outcome happens to be). Ive yet to check into extended warranties, but Id HOPE that the fix has at least another year on it. Ill update this review if I cant get extended warranties OR if the warranty on the fix isnt good for another year. [Edit to add: I take back all the nice things I said about LG, and deduct another star for what happened after I posted this review. I received my monitor back a couple of weeks after I sent it in, and the monitor arrive in a new box, but the power supply had been placed on the wrong side of the box. The result was one of the power supplys prongs was jammed into the power supply itself during shipping, likely destroying the board to which it was mounted and making it useless. I contacted LG, of course, and talked with customer service, I sent them the same picture I posted here, and they said theyd replace it. They did not. Its been almost two months. I knew it would take some time so I bought a compatible PSU from Amazon in the meantime, but I was without my monitor for considerably longer than planned, pushing my productivity levels into the toilet. The monitor did work (though Ive had one unexplained, momentary black screen on it and not my second screen that hasnt yet happened again) after I got a PSU for it, but I shouldnt have had to wait in the first place. The PSU shipped with the monitor was new (I had marked it to see if they replaced it) and the monitor itself had been repaired (the mark I put on the monitor is still there). But the monitor without the special PSU is pretty pointless, and put me far more behind than planned. So what should have been a fully warranted repair ended up costing me the price of a new PSU because someone at LGs repair vendor doesnt know how to pack a PSU properly. As for extending the warranty, Im going to go with another brand next time.]
