The power cord is not just too short, it is incredibly short. My desk is placed in the only spot that can accommodate everything, there is no moving it. And why should I have to reconfigure my entire room because LG didnt make their power cords long enough? Unless I can come up with a solution, this is going back. If you can supply me with a new, longer power cord, I would appreciate it.

I have this monitor that Ive bought new, love it works great never had any issues. Bought another one (refurbished) and didnt have problems for a month until last night. MUCH troubleshooting before realizing they did not send the adapter that normally goes with this monitor. Sent one that does not provide enough amperage.

I only purchase LG now. Other monitors always flicker for some reason? Maybe my electricity isn’t the best but that never impacts LG products so who knows. 10/10 always recommend!

Im just going to keep this brief, Im not sure how consistently well this works on a desktop PC but I can say Ive had a mountain of problems using it on my Gaming laptop (Asus Rog Zephrys 2020 model) when plugging into ANY docking station. Most laptops do not have a DP port built-in usually an HDMI so what you will need is an adaptor to get the full 144hz out of this. Ive gotten it to get 144hz and 1440p on certain games but I had to troubleshoot for several hours to get it working without tearing or lagging. With the same docking station and the same cables my second monitor works perfectly fine, but this monitor does not like docking stations or USB hubs at all. The problems mainly only happen with DP cables. when I plug in an HDMI it causes significantly less issues, but still has problems every once in a while (low frame rate without reason, no signal) even when I plug it in directly to the laptops HDMI port instead of a docking station. Regardless this monitor really hates docking stations. Ive tried 3 different laptops and 3 different docking stations, same issues. The other big issue I have with this monitor, is the colors seem very off and HDR looks very poor, below average at least. For the most part thats not an issue for gaming but if you like picture quality this is not what to get it for. The last issue I have, and this is more of my own fault for not checking, is there is only ONE DP port and TWO HDMI ports, neither are HDMI 2.1. Dont buy this if you have a next-gen console and are looking for 4k 120hz because it is not compatible. My intention was to plug in a next-gen console to this and my gaming laptop so I can switch back and forth, but I sadly did not read the description thoroughly. I believe all of the other reviews saying they had no issues because they most likely had a Desktop PC with DP ports built into it, but If you have a computer that does not have a DP port built-in you will be going through a lot of troubleshooting to get this at 144hz.

Ive used several 1440p 144Hz monitors (although I personally used a 1080p 144Hz TN Panel monitor before buying this), and I really have nothing but great words for this monitor (besides a few things of course). Pros: -1440p: Ive always thought 1440p gaming was objectively bad, but now that 1440p resolution monitors can reach high refresh rates, cheaper graphics cards can run games at 1440p, and well.... actually using a 1440p monitor daily, I can definitely say its worth it. Everything is much crisper and more vibrant (even just going from a TN panel to an IPS panel makes an insane difference in terms of color accuracy). -Doesnt look super gamery: (Ive always personally been steered away from gaming accessories that boast a super aggressive aesthetic and weird color pattern, which was one of the main reasons I picked this monitor) -LG: LG is widely known to make phenomenal TVs and Monitors, and this is no exception. Ive used an LG monitor in the past, along with multiple TVs, and I have never once experienced a dead pixel or any kind of major issue (The TVs are ~5-10 years old and I still use them to this day). I might be biased, though, as I previously explained I try to avoid super gamery accessories (in this case, the brand). - Configuration: This monitor uses a small ball-type button to push up, down, left, and right to navigate through the monitors settings, which is overall really awesome. Theres also quick configuration that allows you to change specific settings (such as brightness) without having to go through a few menus to change it like you normally would. LG did a great job on this! -Connectivity: This monitor offers 2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort for connectivity, which is pretty awesome if you like having an extra console/PC at your desk -Monitor Stand: LG did an amazing job with the design of the included monitor stand. Assembling it was very straight-forward/easy and doesnt even require screws (unlike a lot of monitor stands). Even without screws, the monitor stand is pretty firm and the possibility of it falling off is the least of my worries. Cons: Ghostying: While I greatly appreciated the accurate, vibrant colors IPS panels produce when compared to others, I can definitely notice the monitor ghosting (trails of pixels that visibly lag) that this monitor displays. It can be hard to see and isnt extremely noticeable (I have to be looking closely to tell), but its something to take into consideration if that kind of thing bothers you. Other Comments: -GSync Compatible: This is honestly unnoticeable and definitely a marketing gimmick from Nvidia and compatible monitor brands, given that GSync Compatible offers virtually no additional features (it simply means Nvidia certifies a specific monitor as a Validated Experience), unlike actual GSync Monitors. You wont get a real GSync monitor anywhere near this price range, so its really not even a big deal. HOWEVER, I do notice that the monitor will sometimes briefly go black when opening a program (I have researched and found this to be an issue with GSync), which also isnt too big of a deal since it only lasts for a second or two.

These LG Ultragear Gaming Monitors are still great in 2023. From the 1440p & 144hz, to the amazing OSD/UI for your desired settings. The stub on the bottom controls the OSD, and WOW! I never thought navigating through a OSD was so seemless (as Ive only had office Monitors before hand). Great upgrade, and excellent product. Note: Most people dont know about the required 1y warranty by LG. Just contact them, tell them the problem, and send it in to be repaired.

This is a great monitory with really good color and display. But can someone please help me explain why my monitor would be stuck at 100 Hz and not 144 when I went to the NVDIA coolntrol panel. For some reasons it only gives me the options of 60 hz and 100hz. Not 144. Could someone please give me a solution? that would mean a lot.

This monitor absolutely does not play well with Windows 11. Deep Sleep Mode cannot be disabled and it takes several seconds to wake from sleep, Windows sometimes takes longer to respond. Worse is that when waking from deep sleep mode windows will randomly not maximize fully and a 1/2 of the desktop above the taskbar is cut off. This has something to do with windows scaling as changing the DPI back and forth resets to normal or turning the monitor off and on also resets it. However I believe this problem would not come up if there was an option to turn off deep sleep. And that there is no USB port means the monitor cannot be updated, not that LG would at this point, as they havent with the 850 model. Im not sure how these issues are not discussed in all of the glowing reviews on numerous tech sites as it is pretty well known that deep sleep in general is an issue with these monitors. And that has been fixed with the latest LG 4K model.

Immerse yourself in your favorite games with this fast IPS monitor featuring a 1ms (GtG) response time, wide viewing angles, and high color accuracy with sRGB 99%. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly, while Black Stabilizer allows you to see them more clearly in the dark.
