Greater than one weekId like to start by saying, ever since LG invented the wallpaper TV, Ive developed loyalty, strictly on their displays for everything. They are cheaper then Samsung, yet more innovative, so, kudos. That said, if my review sounds at all biased, Im sorry. There are no defects on the monitor I received. Ran an Ezio test and found nothing that stands out. Something to be aware of, is that if you purchase a VESA mount, it needs to be 100x100, and even if that mount has spacers, you may need some washers to compensate for a gap. The reason for this, is to keep the back flat and uniform when installing the stand it comes with, but considering monitors these days are naturally very thin, this causes a problem by limiting the female port length for the screws needed to secure a VESA mount. In my case, 8 small washers I had left over from other projects fixed this problem. Something else worth noting is it is Nvidia G-Sync compatible (there is an attractive sticker showing this monitor is capable of it on the bottom left that Im assuming can be removed). My Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super recognized that it is a G-Sync compatible monitor, and I was able to enable G-Sync thru the Nvidia Control Panel, however, when you view settings on the monitor itself, it is called Adaptive Sync. From what Ive read, this is because they used to be one in the same, and it works just the same as far as I can tell. Enabling it in the Nvidia Control Panel made the monitor settings show Adaptive Sync: Enabled. One feature I really liked that I wasnt aware of when buying this monitor, is that the settings button is a small joystick. If clicked in it opens the settings window, if towards you or away from you, it allows you to adjust the brightness, and left or right is headphone volume. Overall very nifty for one button. If you need a VESA mount but arent sure what to get, this is what I ordered: VIVO Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty Fully Adjustable fits 2 /Two Screens up to 27 (STAND-V002). Mine is a dual mount but you can choose between double and single. The mount itself is extremely sturdy. Zero wobble and aesthetically pleasing, as it has a cable management system and you can hide the VIVO logo on the main support pole if you want to (I did, Im not the biggest fan of logos). But not to veer off the topic or review, 2560 x 1440 @ 144hz for under $400 from LG w/ G-Sync compatibility is the most perfect monitor I could ask for. 2k is ideal for gaming as 4k is too demanding for AAA titles (for about 90% of the Gaming PC Community and 100% of the eSports Community). One last thing Ive noticed, is that I have had a 4k screen in the past, and noticed the resolution makes everything extremely tiny (the taskbar being the most obvious reference). 2k is the sweet spot, because its not too small, but there is now enough real estate for a 27 monitor to be all I need (for gaming). When I get into photo editing, etc., I will likely purchase a 4k monitor, but only for shows, movies, and editing. I do self-taught audio production work, and 27 2k is more then enough for me. Some producers use widescreen monitors, which is great for them, Im sure, but not necessary after seeing this thing. Thank you LG, for the ultimate monitor, and thank you Amazon, for an undamaged product.

> 3 dayI have had this monitor for a bit over a year now. It has performed great for me and I am happy with my purchase. I have seen other reviews where people are experiencing issues with the screen flickering after a few days to months of use. I have had no such problem thus far. This is the nicest monitor I have owned and have been blown away with its performance. I use this single monitor for looking at family photos, browsing the internet, watching streamed movies/shows and playing games like Fallout 4 and Final Fantasy XV. The graphics are great. I have this monitor paired with an Nvidia GTX 1660 Supper, I think an RTX 3060ti or 3070 would be better for the 1440p gaming but those RTX cards are the same as gold right now. Based solely on my experience, I would recommend this monitor to others, especially if you catch it on sale. Like any product these days, I feel its a roll of the dice any time I make a purchase. 90% of the time things work out fine, the other 10% seems to fail spectacularly.

> 3 dayI have been playing games for a long time now and was ready to invest in a better monitor since I need it for school but this on checked all my boxes on what I wanted. I liked that for the price I got it at which was cheaper than MSRP even though I would buy it at MSRP any day of the week, It was treated as a higher tier product when it comes to online reviews. The box that it came in was very well built and had so much foam protecting the screen it was hard to take out. I got the 144hz IPS 27inch model and like I said above I love this screen. There hasnt been any major problems with it which when I look at the other monitors I see online Im happy. The only thing that I didnt like was that the power cable wasnt a standard power cable that most monitors use. It wasnt that I didnt mind but with my power set up the plug took up 2 slots so it made it hard to power everything else in my setup. I have seen also on many review channels that there are monitors that are cheaper and better and I dont see it. If I had to recommend a monitor it would be this one. Have the 2k resolution was nice since I got a new GPU and was able to use the power of it to play games in stunning detail compared to my old 60hz 1080p monitor.

> 3 dayThis is a great monitory with really good color and display. But can someone please help me explain why my monitor would be stuck at 100 Hz and not 144 when I went to the NVDIA coolntrol panel. For some reasons it only gives me the options of 60 hz and 100hz. Not 144. Could someone please give me a solution? that would mean a lot.

Greater than one weekThis is a very impressive monitor in terms of color, IPS panel, response times. 2k is a good resolution. Even if games start running better at 4k someday, you could downsample and get a nice picture. For the times though, 2K is a good sweet spot for high fps, for sure. The 27 inch size is great, but be aware the stand underneath is long and wide so it takes a lot of desk space. With two monitors it can be hard to get even a second smaller one in there comfortably on a smaller desk, for sure. Still I eventually managed to squeeze in a layout. Overall I consider this an awesome monitor, considerably more reliable than the $200 range VA panel one I had that accidentally broke, and this replaced it. That old monitor had flickering issues with freesync, this one works great out of the box, and has less color banding. I also like the HDR effect mode on pc gaming. I didnt try it right away thinking it would be a weak gimmick, but it actually looks pretty good. Mind you compared to a TV that supports HDR well, this is not the same thing, just a nice way to boost your image quality. HDR effect also doesnt offer much settings control as they become locked for many things, but response time, color, and image look great in it. The biggest real con with it is the price. It is a lot in my opinion. However, if you are extremely careful not to drop it or hit the screen with anything then I suspect it could last a really long time, like most monitors. So considering the features are great, I think a lot of people that use PC all the time can justify getting this. One other small con with it is the Onscreen Control app (download it from their website) that lets you set things up instead of using the monitors joystick is very barebones. I was disappointed the super handy on screen countdown timer feature and hot keys to change settings features from the budget $200 monitor arent here. On the other hand this monitor is much easier to get stunning visuals out of the box than a cheap budget panel and you hardly need to go into settings, but the lack of bells and whistles in settings other than the major important features was something I noted. Overall, Im highly pleased with this monitor so far. Might revisit this review over time if its standing up well over time or is not.

> 3 dayIve used several 1440p 144Hz monitors (although I personally used a 1080p 144Hz TN Panel monitor before buying this), and I really have nothing but great words for this monitor (besides a few things of course). Pros: -1440p: Ive always thought 1440p gaming was objectively bad, but now that 1440p resolution monitors can reach high refresh rates, cheaper graphics cards can run games at 1440p, and well.... actually using a 1440p monitor daily, I can definitely say its worth it. Everything is much crisper and more vibrant (even just going from a TN panel to an IPS panel makes an insane difference in terms of color accuracy). -Doesnt look super gamery: (Ive always personally been steered away from gaming accessories that boast a super aggressive aesthetic and weird color pattern, which was one of the main reasons I picked this monitor) -LG: LG is widely known to make phenomenal TVs and Monitors, and this is no exception. Ive used an LG monitor in the past, along with multiple TVs, and I have never once experienced a dead pixel or any kind of major issue (The TVs are ~5-10 years old and I still use them to this day). I might be biased, though, as I previously explained I try to avoid super gamery accessories (in this case, the brand). - Configuration: This monitor uses a small ball-type button to push up, down, left, and right to navigate through the monitors settings, which is overall really awesome. Theres also quick configuration that allows you to change specific settings (such as brightness) without having to go through a few menus to change it like you normally would. LG did a great job on this! -Connectivity: This monitor offers 2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort for connectivity, which is pretty awesome if you like having an extra console/PC at your desk -Monitor Stand: LG did an amazing job with the design of the included monitor stand. Assembling it was very straight-forward/easy and doesnt even require screws (unlike a lot of monitor stands). Even without screws, the monitor stand is pretty firm and the possibility of it falling off is the least of my worries. Cons: Ghostying: While I greatly appreciated the accurate, vibrant colors IPS panels produce when compared to others, I can definitely notice the monitor ghosting (trails of pixels that visibly lag) that this monitor displays. It can be hard to see and isnt extremely noticeable (I have to be looking closely to tell), but its something to take into consideration if that kind of thing bothers you. Other Comments: -GSync Compatible: This is honestly unnoticeable and definitely a marketing gimmick from Nvidia and compatible monitor brands, given that GSync Compatible offers virtually no additional features (it simply means Nvidia certifies a specific monitor as a Validated Experience), unlike actual GSync Monitors. You wont get a real GSync monitor anywhere near this price range, so its really not even a big deal. HOWEVER, I do notice that the monitor will sometimes briefly go black when opening a program (I have researched and found this to be an issue with GSync), which also isnt too big of a deal since it only lasts for a second or two.

Greater than one weekIts a good monitor ignoring its HDR spec but my main issue is that its just SO DANG BRIGHT even at the lowest setting to the point where I always leave it on the lowest brightness and it still singes my eyes. I wish LG would release firmware for it that let it get dimmer without sacrificing color accuracy but I know they wont do it for a low tier product like this. If you really hate bright screens and usually leave your phone on low or very low brightness then look into some other stuff because late night gaming with this will sing your eyes and make sure to keep you awake.

> 3 dayMonitor died after 5 months of use. It powers on but the screen remains blank, it wont even show its own menus. Any computer it plugs into will freeze up and enter a boot loop until unplugged from the monitor. The monitor is well within the manufacturer warranty but the process is so deliberately obtuse that it may as well not exist. This is my last LG product for sure. Update: It took a few weeks of having to repeatedly ask if a shipping label had been sent before a CSR was able to confirm that one would be arriving. It did eventually show up and I was able to box up the monitor and drop it off with fedex at no charge to myself. Other than the tracking number I was given for the shipment to the repair facility I was not given any additional information at any point about the repair status. A few weeks later a new fedex tracking number was sent to me for the return trip; it arrived about a week later. It does appear to be working as expected again. We will see how long it lasts. My experience with the repair process seems about average, other reviewers have described both much faster/smoother experiences and much longer/difficult ones. In any case I am happy to have a working monitor or again and despite the inconvenience I am relatively pleased with the whole interaction.
