14-04-2025After one week: this monitor is very good. I am using the DisplayPort and the G-Sync works automatically with my GTX 1650S. The audio out works good if you prefer to plug in there instead of the PC. One feature I thought I would probably never use but I found a good use for is this monitors ability to swivel 90 degrees on its stand - play pinball! Its perfect for that. Based upon one days usage: Its a really nice monitor in all aspects and so Im very happy with the purchase. Great color, G-Sync works, everything gets detected and optimum settings applied in Windows and Steam games. I like the stand design also - that is one area a monitor excels over a TV. I have mostly Samsung TVs but chose an LG for my new monitor partly based on a lot of specs and reviews and price/quality ratio and such. Also, I wanted to try an LG since my in-laws have an older large LG TV that is like 15 years old or something but is 120hz and it has held up to this day with a fabulous picture and quality looking case and stand. I think this LG 2783A-B monitor is going to prove the same. If you want G-Sync compatibility, 144hz and 1440p then this is one of the best options and most cost effective options at this time I think. This monitor has no speakers but it does have an audio out port. Of course this model number is an Amazon special edition. It shows up in Windows 10 settings as a 27GL850. I had been using a Samsung 22 inch 1080p TV for my monitor and it was pretty nice and had very good speakers. Well, after having my i7 PC for 3 years I decided it was time for a refresh: NVME drive, Lancool 2 Case, LED Fan kit, 650W PSU, MSI GTX 1650 Super Gaming X, Xbox Windows 10 Wireless Adapter and this LG 2783A-B monitor. As you can imagine this all really woke up that i7 and its a completely different experience now - obviously in a positive direction. More on this monitor... The 27 inch size is really nice compared with a 22 inch one. Looking at this LG 2783A-B 1440p at a distance of 1.5 to 2 feet looks the same to me as looking at my Samsung 40 inch 4K TV from 3.5 to 4 feet away. That is very good BTW. Are you used to watching 1080p and 4K LCD TVs? Then you will be very satisfied with deep blacks and vibrant colors on this and not notice any light bleed effects - it will look as good as a nice 4K TV at a bit larger size and much better than a 1080p I can tell you that. I use my PC for CAD for 3D printing, Photoshop and gaming mostly. To me this monitor is an optimum size, resolution and picture quality for those things sitting at a desk. I tried my 40 inch 4K TV for a while and it looked as good as this monitor but was just too much screen area at such a close distance. I like this 27 better. This monitor has some pretty nice metallic red accents but unfortunately they are all toward the back so you wont actually see much of them.

> 3 dayPros: -144hz -Minimal backlight bleed -OSD easy to use -Comes with display port cable and HDMI cable -extremely easy to setup -stock calibration is decent, only had to modify a few settings. Cons: The stand sits too high at lowest adjustment, so I had to modify my desk to clear. Highest point is roughly 18 3/4 to clear. My calibration on Game 1 Preset: Brightness - 25 Contrast - 70 Sharpness - Default 50 Gamma - mode 2 Color temp - Custom - R58/G49/B48 Adaptive sync - On Black Stabilizer - Default 50 Response time - Fast Aspect ratio - Full Wide Energy Saving - Off Standby - Off All settings at aspect ratio and below optional, I opted to turn the energy stuff off. I Absolutely love this monitor. I first was gonna get the 850 but its been running low on stock for a while now, settled with this variant instead. Just setup today and played a bit of Rainbow six at 144hz and it was perfect. This is the sRGB version of the 27GL850, it also registers on my computer as the 27GL850. If youre stressed for cash and wanna save a bit of money, this one will do fine. Colors look great without the wide range color gamut, and from reading it should mainly be applicable to HDR gaming/photo editing anyways, which the 850 doesnt do a great job at as is. I dont plan on using HDR either. All in all this thing came perfect with no bad pixels, and the backlight looks good. This monitor should have a slightly higher contrast ratio than the 850 (1000:1 while the 850 is around 800:1). I highly recommend this as a viable cheaper option to the 850. If purchasing this with limited vertical space look for a gas shock vesa mount to lower it further or modify your desk for 18 3/4 of vertical clearance. The only difference according to specs is the nano ips panel on the 850, which seems like it has more to do with the color range.

> 3 dayIve used several 1440p 144Hz monitors (although I personally used a 1080p 144Hz TN Panel monitor before buying this), and I really have nothing but great words for this monitor (besides a few things of course). Pros: -1440p: Ive always thought 1440p gaming was objectively bad, but now that 1440p resolution monitors can reach high refresh rates, cheaper graphics cards can run games at 1440p, and well.... actually using a 1440p monitor daily, I can definitely say its worth it. Everything is much crisper and more vibrant (even just going from a TN panel to an IPS panel makes an insane difference in terms of color accuracy). -Doesnt look super gamery: (Ive always personally been steered away from gaming accessories that boast a super aggressive aesthetic and weird color pattern, which was one of the main reasons I picked this monitor) -LG: LG is widely known to make phenomenal TVs and Monitors, and this is no exception. Ive used an LG monitor in the past, along with multiple TVs, and I have never once experienced a dead pixel or any kind of major issue (The TVs are ~5-10 years old and I still use them to this day). I might be biased, though, as I previously explained I try to avoid super gamery accessories (in this case, the brand). - Configuration: This monitor uses a small ball-type button to push up, down, left, and right to navigate through the monitors settings, which is overall really awesome. Theres also quick configuration that allows you to change specific settings (such as brightness) without having to go through a few menus to change it like you normally would. LG did a great job on this! -Connectivity: This monitor offers 2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort for connectivity, which is pretty awesome if you like having an extra console/PC at your desk -Monitor Stand: LG did an amazing job with the design of the included monitor stand. Assembling it was very straight-forward/easy and doesnt even require screws (unlike a lot of monitor stands). Even without screws, the monitor stand is pretty firm and the possibility of it falling off is the least of my worries. Cons: Ghostying: While I greatly appreciated the accurate, vibrant colors IPS panels produce when compared to others, I can definitely notice the monitor ghosting (trails of pixels that visibly lag) that this monitor displays. It can be hard to see and isnt extremely noticeable (I have to be looking closely to tell), but its something to take into consideration if that kind of thing bothers you. Other Comments: -GSync Compatible: This is honestly unnoticeable and definitely a marketing gimmick from Nvidia and compatible monitor brands, given that GSync Compatible offers virtually no additional features (it simply means Nvidia certifies a specific monitor as a Validated Experience), unlike actual GSync Monitors. You wont get a real GSync monitor anywhere near this price range, so its really not even a big deal. HOWEVER, I do notice that the monitor will sometimes briefly go black when opening a program (I have researched and found this to be an issue with GSync), which also isnt too big of a deal since it only lasts for a second or two.

> 3 dayThis was a big upgrade from my ancient 1020p ViewSonic, but after about a week of use, I noticed a dead pixel. After reading the LG Support horror story review here, I decided Id just let it be -- its usually not noticeable. Just FYI, if youve never used an HDR monitor for Windows 10, you will likely need to adjust the HDR brightness settings separately, otherwise the display may seem too dark for you for everyday use.

> 3 dayIm not a techy, but it does what I need it to do. Tinker with the settings to make sure it doesnt automatically adjust brightness and youre ready to clutch it out in Fortnite or whatever Zoomers play

> 3 dayMuy buen monitor en general para este rango de precio. Materiales robustos, panel de calidad, propiedades excelentes. Lo recomiendo. Algo interesante es que viene por defecto con el brillo al 50%, pero se puede ajustar fácilmente en el menú al nivel deseado.
