Ive used several 1440p 144Hz monitors (although I personally used a 1080p 144Hz TN Panel monitor before buying this), and I really have nothing but great words for this monitor (besides a few things of course). Pros: -1440p: Ive always thought 1440p gaming was objectively bad, but now that 1440p resolution monitors can reach high refresh rates, cheaper graphics cards can run games at 1440p, and well.... actually using a 1440p monitor daily, I can definitely say its worth it. Everything is much crisper and more vibrant (even just going from a TN panel to an IPS panel makes an insane difference in terms of color accuracy). -Doesnt look super gamery: (Ive always personally been steered away from gaming accessories that boast a super aggressive aesthetic and weird color pattern, which was one of the main reasons I picked this monitor) -LG: LG is widely known to make phenomenal TVs and Monitors, and this is no exception. Ive used an LG monitor in the past, along with multiple TVs, and I have never once experienced a dead pixel or any kind of major issue (The TVs are ~5-10 years old and I still use them to this day). I might be biased, though, as I previously explained I try to avoid super gamery accessories (in this case, the brand). - Configuration: This monitor uses a small ball-type button to push up, down, left, and right to navigate through the monitors settings, which is overall really awesome. Theres also quick configuration that allows you to change specific settings (such as brightness) without having to go through a few menus to change it like you normally would. LG did a great job on this! -Connectivity: This monitor offers 2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort for connectivity, which is pretty awesome if you like having an extra console/PC at your desk -Monitor Stand: LG did an amazing job with the design of the included monitor stand. Assembling it was very straight-forward/easy and doesnt even require screws (unlike a lot of monitor stands). Even without screws, the monitor stand is pretty firm and the possibility of it falling off is the least of my worries. Cons: Ghostying: While I greatly appreciated the accurate, vibrant colors IPS panels produce when compared to others, I can definitely notice the monitor ghosting (trails of pixels that visibly lag) that this monitor displays. It can be hard to see and isnt extremely noticeable (I have to be looking closely to tell), but its something to take into consideration if that kind of thing bothers you. Other Comments: -GSync Compatible: This is honestly unnoticeable and definitely a marketing gimmick from Nvidia and compatible monitor brands, given that GSync Compatible offers virtually no additional features (it simply means Nvidia certifies a specific monitor as a Validated Experience), unlike actual GSync Monitors. You wont get a real GSync monitor anywhere near this price range, so its really not even a big deal. HOWEVER, I do notice that the monitor will sometimes briefly go black when opening a program (I have researched and found this to be an issue with GSync), which also isnt too big of a deal since it only lasts for a second or two.

With Windows new auto-HDR settings, and even turning on HDR permanently, get the most out of the monitor, getting great brightness and incredible contrast for a monitor that is not an OLED. Getting HDR to work properly on this monitor can be a bit tricky sometimes, which is why I see a lot of reviews that complain about them HDR or low nits/unusual colors on the monitor. Your monitor will say that HDR is enabled but the source will be confused as to whether to enable HDR or not, and youre stuck in this state where you believe the HDR is just bad. But if you have HDR set up properly, you will not be complaining about the low brightness or weird colorization on this monitor. Maybe something else, but definitely when you get the monitor, double check HDR settings, etc - on both the monitor and source. And when it comes to the price, this is probably the best monitor you can get for the money. It is important to note that this is G-Sync compatible, and does not actually have the G-Sync module in the monitor itself. I havent noticed any cons in terms of maintaining good 144hz gaming thus far with V-Sync, which is about the peak youd get at WHD without setting the graphics down, and you dont have the G Sync module in the monitor constantly sapping power even when its off.

The monitor is absolutely fantastic. Its for sure the best monitor Ive ever owned and will definitely be with me for a long time. THE RESOLUTION: 1440p is absolutely better than 1080p. I had my doubts about how much better it actually is. I instantly noticed a difference when I played some games on it, and even just watching videos and looking at your desktop. I even had some family members who wouldnt even know what 1440p was and they all said that there was a clear difference. THE REFRESH RATE: This wasnt my first 144hz monitor, but it is the best one. I think its the fact that its combined with all the other things this monitor does well. But lemme put it to you this way, having a higher refresh rate isnt like watching something move faster. Its like when it moves, you can see more of it, you see more detail while its moving, and you can keep track of it better. Seriously, If you are reading this and you havent had a 144hz experience yet, I HIGHLY recommend just buying a montior like this one that has 144hz capabilities. EVERYTHING ELSE: Realistically, the only other good features of this monitor is G-Sync, which is pretty good. You have the 1ms response time, which is good and bad. The 1ms response time setting increases ghosting, which this isnt an issue with just this monitor. And having a bigger screen is nice as well. Its just a fantastic monitor. My monitor before this was a Viotek one and I was very disappointed with that one because it had dead pixels. Now there are bad eggs in every batch, but viotek seemed to send me 2 different monitors that had dead pixels. One after I returned my old one, waited 3 months to get a new one, and the new one had more dead pixels than the one before. Basically what Im saying is, even though this monitor would be about $50-$100 more expensive than something from a cheaper brand, its quality control and customer service promises that make it more expensive. And thats worth it more than the features that this monitor has. Ive had several LG monitors in the past and Ive had no issues with any of them. The only negative is that the stand is not very good. I mean, its a basic stock stand... Thats about it. Its too big, and generally looks ugly. I just dont like it that much, and I feel like it takes up too much room on my desk.

This monitor gets the job done EXACTLY the way I need it to. I bought this monitor since I wanted to upgrade my picture quality from 1080p to 4K for a few years now and lately I have been putting my screens in grayscale to prevent myself from allocating too much time on activities that shouldnt be prioritized during certain times of the day and week; however, this monitor doesnt have a preset grayscale setting, so if you want to create one like I did then go to one of the premade settings, select Picture Adjust, and turn all of the Six Color settings to zero and hit save. I also setup another premade setting to be exactly like my custom grayscale setting but with color so I can easily and quickly switch between both modes.

Thought this would be a great budget option to upgrade from my 27 1080p 60hz LG monitor as I own a PS5 and wanted to have improved resolution and response time. Im more of a casual gamer so I primarily use my monitor for work from home tasks and teams sharing. After using for for WFH I noticed significant eye strain compared to my previous monitor. May be just adjusting to the smaller resolution but I saw a lot of users with similar issues on Reddit. After more research I realized this is using a BOE MV270QHM-NF1 panel and not an LG panel and I also observed significant glow in the lower left hand corner. Gaming on my PS5 was great (turn off adaptive sync to get 1440p 120hz) but ultimately as this is a productivity first monitor I had to send it back. If youre just looking for a strictly gaming option at an affordable price wait for it to drop down to $246 and pick it up.

If you are on the fence, buy this monitor, it is amazing. Pros: IPS Panel -IPS panel gives greater viewing angles and better color accuracy than TN or VA. The main downside to IPS is that the GTG response time tends to be a bit slower and the blacks are not as black. However these are both easily trade offs for me. 1440P Resolution -Honestly 1440P is the perfect resolution for gaming. It is miles better looking than 1080P and doesnt require the huge computer power to drive 4K. I am running a RTX 2080Ti FE and I get probably 60FPS+ on max settings for most AAA titles, but I still prefer my 1440P monitor for the next reason... 144Hz Refresh Rate -Few 4K monitors will boast 144Hz refresh rate and the ones that do cost a fortune. On top of that, you will need a beastly multi-gpu setup to get 144+FPS out of your AAA titles at max settings anyways. -144Hz is so smooth and is a much better experience than 60Hz. I also have a better feel in FPS type games. 27 (which is also as big as I would recommend for desktop gaming) -Any bigger than 27 and you are entering TV type of territory IMO. For gaming, I want to be able to see my whole screen with minimal movement of my head. When sitting at my desk, with a distance of roughly 2feet between my face to the monitor, it is the perfect size. Cons: The only con I have with this monitor, and this is pretty nit picky, is the lack of auto input detection. I use my desk for both work and play so I have this monitor plugged into my gaming desktop all the time, but sometimes I have a separate cable plugging it into my work laptop. When I switch from using my desktop to laptop and vice versa, I need to manually change the input. There is no separate button to do this and the monitor does not auto detect and ask if you want to change input sources, so you need to go through the menu to change the input source. Very minor complaint. Neutral: This monitor is G-Sync Compatible but not true G-Sync hardware. The G-Sync hardware is extremely expensive and this monitor is an excellent price. Honestly, should be a Pro that this monitor is even G-Sync compatible for the price.

Went for a 1080p monitor to this and was blown away by the difference. I haven’t found one flaw with this yet. The only thing I didn’t like but it’s not a flaw is the stand color is red. I wish there were different options for that but it doesn’t matter. Can’t wait to get another one of these for a second monitor set up.

Good picture quality, no dead pixels, and no major issues with the backlight. Performs well enough in gaming for my needs.

This is a very impressive monitor in terms of color, IPS panel, response times. 2k is a good resolution. Even if games start running better at 4k someday, you could downsample and get a nice picture. For the times though, 2K is a good sweet spot for high fps, for sure. The 27 inch size is great, but be aware the stand underneath is long and wide so it takes a lot of desk space. With two monitors it can be hard to get even a second smaller one in there comfortably on a smaller desk, for sure. Still I eventually managed to squeeze in a layout. Overall I consider this an awesome monitor, considerably more reliable than the $200 range VA panel one I had that accidentally broke, and this replaced it. That old monitor had flickering issues with freesync, this one works great out of the box, and has less color banding. I also like the HDR effect mode on pc gaming. I didnt try it right away thinking it would be a weak gimmick, but it actually looks pretty good. Mind you compared to a TV that supports HDR well, this is not the same thing, just a nice way to boost your image quality. HDR effect also doesnt offer much settings control as they become locked for many things, but response time, color, and image look great in it. The biggest real con with it is the price. It is a lot in my opinion. However, if you are extremely careful not to drop it or hit the screen with anything then I suspect it could last a really long time, like most monitors. So considering the features are great, I think a lot of people that use PC all the time can justify getting this. One other small con with it is the Onscreen Control app (download it from their website) that lets you set things up instead of using the monitors joystick is very barebones. I was disappointed the super handy on screen countdown timer feature and hot keys to change settings features from the budget $200 monitor arent here. On the other hand this monitor is much easier to get stunning visuals out of the box than a cheap budget panel and you hardly need to go into settings, but the lack of bells and whistles in settings other than the major important features was something I noted. Overall, Im highly pleased with this monitor so far. Might revisit this review over time if its standing up well over time or is not.

Immerse yourself in your favorite games with this fast IPS monitor featuring a 1ms (GtG) response time, wide viewing angles, and high color accuracy with sRGB 99%. NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium support virtually eliminates screen tearing and minimize stutter in high-resolution and fast-paced games for a fast and fluid gaming experience with supported video cards. Dynamic Action Sync reduces input lag and elevates your gameplay, allowing you to respond to your opponents quickly, while Black Stabilizer allows you to see them more clearly in the dark. Use the Crosshair feature for enhanced vision and precision in first-person shooters. Adjust the tilt, height, and pivot for the best ergonomics, ensuring that you have the most comfortable viewing position to play your games.
