> 24 hourOld monitor sat to low on table ended up falling while using styrofoam blocks... and it had this on/off button you had to hold for 5 sec to turn it off. Ive got 2 other LG monitors this one included has the on/off button in the same place and you just push in - select power off - very nice and easy. This telescopic stem is just the answer for up/down and tilt... and dont forget that universal on/off button. Very happy with this good buy worth the money so far.

> 24 hourThe monitor is absolutely fantastic. Its for sure the best monitor Ive ever owned and will definitely be with me for a long time. THE RESOLUTION: 1440p is absolutely better than 1080p. I had my doubts about how much better it actually is. I instantly noticed a difference when I played some games on it, and even just watching videos and looking at your desktop. I even had some family members who wouldnt even know what 1440p was and they all said that there was a clear difference. THE REFRESH RATE: This wasnt my first 144hz monitor, but it is the best one. I think its the fact that its combined with all the other things this monitor does well. But lemme put it to you this way, having a higher refresh rate isnt like watching something move faster. Its like when it moves, you can see more of it, you see more detail while its moving, and you can keep track of it better. Seriously, If you are reading this and you havent had a 144hz experience yet, I HIGHLY recommend just buying a montior like this one that has 144hz capabilities. EVERYTHING ELSE: Realistically, the only other good features of this monitor is G-Sync, which is pretty good. You have the 1ms response time, which is good and bad. The 1ms response time setting increases ghosting, which this isnt an issue with just this monitor. And having a bigger screen is nice as well. Its just a fantastic monitor. My monitor before this was a Viotek one and I was very disappointed with that one because it had dead pixels. Now there are bad eggs in every batch, but viotek seemed to send me 2 different monitors that had dead pixels. One after I returned my old one, waited 3 months to get a new one, and the new one had more dead pixels than the one before. Basically what Im saying is, even though this monitor would be about $50-$100 more expensive than something from a cheaper brand, its quality control and customer service promises that make it more expensive. And thats worth it more than the features that this monitor has. Ive had several LG monitors in the past and Ive had no issues with any of them. The only negative is that the stand is not very good. I mean, its a basic stock stand... Thats about it. Its too big, and generally looks ugly. I just dont like it that much, and I feel like it takes up too much room on my desk.

> 24 hourI have this monitor that Ive bought new, love it works great never had any issues. Bought another one (refurbished) and didnt have problems for a month until last night. MUCH troubleshooting before realizing they did not send the adapter that normally goes with this monitor. Sent one that does not provide enough amperage.

> 24 hourEverything I write is MY PERSONAL opinion. It may not match yours. I apologize if the monitor is bad for you. And thank you if the review was helpful. That was good choice. Good price, big enough, good picture, good refresh rate, it realy bright, colours are correct (for my eyes). Cables, 1.5 meters, included (1 HDMI, 1 DP). Flexible setting of parameters for yourself, and there are also presets that you can reconfigure. Everything works great so far. It has glare on the left bottom corner. I noticed it during the loading screen of Windows. First thought was that everything is bad, but then i forgot about it. In dark games I didnt see it. Cant say it about films, because I still havent watched so dark. Dont think that its gonna be a big problem The image becomes hazy only at an angle of about 150-160 degrees, but, anyway, still looks acceptable.

> 24 hourPros: -144hz -Minimal backlight bleed -OSD easy to use -Comes with display port cable and HDMI cable -extremely easy to setup -stock calibration is decent, only had to modify a few settings. Cons: The stand sits too high at lowest adjustment, so I had to modify my desk to clear. Highest point is roughly 18 3/4 to clear. My calibration on Game 1 Preset: Brightness - 25 Contrast - 70 Sharpness - Default 50 Gamma - mode 2 Color temp - Custom - R58/G49/B48 Adaptive sync - On Black Stabilizer - Default 50 Response time - Fast Aspect ratio - Full Wide Energy Saving - Off Standby - Off All settings at aspect ratio and below optional, I opted to turn the energy stuff off. I Absolutely love this monitor. I first was gonna get the 850 but its been running low on stock for a while now, settled with this variant instead. Just setup today and played a bit of Rainbow six at 144hz and it was perfect. This is the sRGB version of the 27GL850, it also registers on my computer as the 27GL850. If youre stressed for cash and wanna save a bit of money, this one will do fine. Colors look great without the wide range color gamut, and from reading it should mainly be applicable to HDR gaming/photo editing anyways, which the 850 doesnt do a great job at as is. I dont plan on using HDR either. All in all this thing came perfect with no bad pixels, and the backlight looks good. This monitor should have a slightly higher contrast ratio than the 850 (1000:1 while the 850 is around 800:1). I highly recommend this as a viable cheaper option to the 850. If purchasing this with limited vertical space look for a gas shock vesa mount to lower it further or modify your desk for 18 3/4 of vertical clearance. The only difference according to specs is the nano ips panel on the 850, which seems like it has more to do with the color range.

> 24 hourTl;dr: fantastic monitor monitor for colorful content, fps games, and photo editing but not for dark content like stealth games or dark (as in color not content) movies. PROS: • Outstanding color reproduction • TN levels of pixel response time. No visible motion blur at 144hz • good ergonomics and stable stand • easy to navigate menu • Joystick for OSD responsive and works well • Visual presets are all useful (sRGB mode looks best) • Adaptive sync compatible with nvidia cards (I used a GTX 1080) • anti-glare coating well balanced, removes 90% of glare without ruining colors or adding visible crosshatching CONS: • Unacceptable amounts of Back Light Bleed • Aggressive IPS Glow • Poor Contrast (compared to other IPS monitor) • Compression artifacts in some 1080p content Overview: I wanted to keep this monitor, I really did, but a few glaring issues made it unusable for me. It’s all plastic and is lightweight but doesn’t creak when in use (from heat build up) or wobble when you interact with it or move stuff around on your desk. Playing bright colorful games like BOTW, Valkyria Chronicles 4, or Dragon Quest XI everything looks fantastic, the colors pop off the screen in way you have to see to fully understand, if anyone was to compare this monitor side by side to any TN the difference would be obvious. There is no visible screen tearing thanks to adaptive sync compatibility, I played Metro 2033 on this and I couldn’t see any ghosting or motion blur even when looking for it. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The monitor has problems when it comes to displaying dark content like the black stripes you see in movies (on the top and bottom of the screen due to movies being in 21:9 aspect ratio) and in games with dark environments. In games like Metro 2033 when going through pitch black rooms the IPS Glow, Back Light Bleed, and poor contrast become evident; corners of the screen will have what looks like white and orange clouds on them, the low contrast results in a Black Crush effect where most of the black content blends together in to a blob removing key details from the scene. This applies to movies as well, I watched Skyfall (2012) on this monitor and in some parts of climax scenes in Bonds family home the orange glow was present enough to be distracting, also the Black Crush effect causes sections of the screen be so dark as to make some details hard to see. The actual IPS glow is drastically lessened by sitting at least 3.5 feet from the screen (~1 meter) to the point that it’s not visible to the naked eye and the back light bleed is also lessened (but still visible). Also, the problems with glow, contrast, and BLB are only evident in really dark scenes in games and movies, for example in BOTW even when on Hyrule Bridge at night the effect can’t been seen with the naked eye, it’s only in really dark scenes like stealth sections in the Metro games where the effect is visible. I’ve included photos of what the screen looks like in both dark and well lit rooms. PLEASE NOTE, the effect is nowhere near as bad as my camera makes it out to be but is still visible. Take what see and reduce the effect by 60% in the dark room pics and by 30% in the well lit room pics for a good idea of what it actually looks like. I have tried two of this exact same model, I bought one back in October 2019 only to return it due to the bad BLB then tried again in February 2020 hoping that one from another batch would be better, both had the same problems to the same degree.

> 24 hourThis monitor gets the job done EXACTLY the way I need it to. I bought this monitor since I wanted to upgrade my picture quality from 1080p to 4K for a few years now and lately I have been putting my screens in grayscale to prevent myself from allocating too much time on activities that shouldnt be prioritized during certain times of the day and week; however, this monitor doesnt have a preset grayscale setting, so if you want to create one like I did then go to one of the premade settings, select Picture Adjust, and turn all of the Six Color settings to zero and hit save. I also setup another premade setting to be exactly like my custom grayscale setting but with color so I can easily and quickly switch between both modes.
