> 3 dayI picked this monitor up for my playstation 5. The picture quality is good and the build quality was fair for the price point.. overall I was happy with the purchase.. The monitor lasted 6 months and left me with a black screen. LG policy is for me to ship back to them for a repair, I have no option to ship back to Amazon for replacement.. either way, Im going to be out a monitor for a while.. Maybe I just had bad luck or maybe the monitor line has an issue.. I guess the reviews will decide.

> 3 dayOverall: Great Purchase, would buy again Pros: +Both my first 144Hz and 1440p monitor, and can I just say, WOW. What a difference that refresh rate makes! I mostly play first person shooter games, and the difference really is night and day. +The bump in resolution isnt as noticeable to me, but I never was one to care much past 1080p. The image does indeed feel somewhat sharper however, and the added pixel count does have the effect of feeling like theres more room on screen in any use case. +Colors also are excellent, very vibrant and pop off the screen, at least to my eyes. +Coming from a 60hz 1080p display, the biggest differences were in the refresh rate and the SIZE. My previous monitor was only 21.5 inches, and the extra 5.5 on this model feels massive. +The stand feels solid enough, adjusts relatively easy, and leaves plenty of room on my desk with its wide, thin footprint. +All in all, a superior gaming experience from a 60hz display. Games like DOOM and Counter Strike feel buttery smooth, and are massively more immersive on such a larger display. +Bundle this monitor with a great GPU like an RTX 3070 as I have, and you are in for an excellent gaming experience. +Excellent quality control with my unit, not a single dead pixel and minimal backlight bleed in one corner. +Gsync works well with no problems or issues, and screen tearing is nonexistent. Cons: -The only con that I would be able to name would be the backlight bleed. This is an incredibly common problem to IPS type displays such as this, and is largely unavoidable and will be present to some extent, but on my unit the problem is minimized to the bottom left corner of the display and is only really noticeable on screens where deep blacks are presented. A mostly nonissue with my use, and the intended use of this display, gaming. I would however recommend a different monitor if your use would be video editing, or video streaming.

> 3 dayThe power cord is not just too short, it is incredibly short. My desk is placed in the only spot that can accommodate everything, there is no moving it. And why should I have to reconfigure my entire room because LG didnt make their power cords long enough? Unless I can come up with a solution, this is going back. If you can supply me with a new, longer power cord, I would appreciate it.

> 3 dayIm not a techy, but it does what I need it to do. Tinker with the settings to make sure it doesnt automatically adjust brightness and youre ready to clutch it out in Fortnite or whatever Zoomers play

> 3 dayIm just going to keep this brief, Im not sure how consistently well this works on a desktop PC but I can say Ive had a mountain of problems using it on my Gaming laptop (Asus Rog Zephrys 2020 model) when plugging into ANY docking station. Most laptops do not have a DP port built-in usually an HDMI so what you will need is an adaptor to get the full 144hz out of this. Ive gotten it to get 144hz and 1440p on certain games but I had to troubleshoot for several hours to get it working without tearing or lagging. With the same docking station and the same cables my second monitor works perfectly fine, but this monitor does not like docking stations or USB hubs at all. The problems mainly only happen with DP cables. when I plug in an HDMI it causes significantly less issues, but still has problems every once in a while (low frame rate without reason, no signal) even when I plug it in directly to the laptops HDMI port instead of a docking station. Regardless this monitor really hates docking stations. Ive tried 3 different laptops and 3 different docking stations, same issues. The other big issue I have with this monitor, is the colors seem very off and HDR looks very poor, below average at least. For the most part thats not an issue for gaming but if you like picture quality this is not what to get it for. The last issue I have, and this is more of my own fault for not checking, is there is only ONE DP port and TWO HDMI ports, neither are HDMI 2.1. Dont buy this if you have a next-gen console and are looking for 4k 120hz because it is not compatible. My intention was to plug in a next-gen console to this and my gaming laptop so I can switch back and forth, but I sadly did not read the description thoroughly. I believe all of the other reviews saying they had no issues because they most likely had a Desktop PC with DP ports built into it, but If you have a computer that does not have a DP port built-in you will be going through a lot of troubleshooting to get this at 144hz.

> 3 dayI got this monitor primarily for having a good bang for you buck option geared towards photo editing, video editing, and gaming and it delivers on all of these options. Pros: Smooth 144 hz refresh rate- This is a first for me and being exposed to a high refresh rate monitor, especially for gaming, changes your perspective on what you see and how responsive everything is. If you are an avid gamer then having a higher refresh rate of 120 to even 240 hz is a must! For the average consumer, this isnt really all that noticable. Beautiful, near bezeless design- For me, Im not used to a very sleek design that doesnt use minimal bezels. It makes the display look modern and expensive. 2k Display!- The bump from 1080p to 2k is short but yet is a big change. Everything is just a little more detailed and sharpened. This is great especially for photo editing to get into the fine details. Fairly color accurate- Im not someone who is looking to get an exact 100% sRGB for editing but for the price, its a great option! They even have a sRGB monitor setting to give you the most accurate colors the monitor can deliver. I believe the monitor has 99% sRGB but please dont take my word for it! For non creatives, this wont mean much to you. Slight Antiglare- Since the display is an IPS panel, there is a little bit of anti glare built in. Its not much but compared to a standard LCD panel it makes working in the daylight with the curtains open manageable. Cons: Most of the problems come from how lucky you are at getting a decent stand and display. For me, my stand and display only show minimal downsides. The Stand- I personally dont mind the stand at all. It feels girthy and stable but there are a lot of other consumers who have stated otherwise. The minor complaints of mine about the stand are the base where it balances itself and the color accents. The base used to balance itself is fairly large and takes up a good amount of space. If you have a smaller desk then look out for this! And the color accents used for the monitor only come in red which for me isnt a big deal but for someone who uses a specific color scheme for their setups might want to look else where The Backlight Bleed- Since this display is an IPS display, there is always bound to be atleast some bleeding but with mine, it isnt too bad. It shows up on the left corner a little bit and the bottom left corner which can be noticable when the screen is all black. This did bother me when I first got it but after only using it for roughly 3 days, Ive gotten used to it. If youre not a fan of backlight bleed and it annoys you then please stay away from this display for your own sanity! Conclusion: A brilliant display that can be used with nearly all gamers and creatives. It has a little bit everything you need that serves as the in between of being low quality and cheap and high quality but expensive. Easily one of the most bang for your buck monitors on the market!

> 3 dayUPDATE: With calibration/tuning/adjustments these monitors are decent. I went through Windows color, brightness, and contrast settings a few times and monitor settings to get them usable. I generally use the P series Dell monitors. I replaced 2 Dell P2419H monitors (handing down to kids) which Ive purchased literally over 1000 of (P2417H, P2419H, P2422H) and are great monitors. Unfortunately the P2722H still has 1080P resolution and loses sharpness at 27. I have 2 P2722Hs on the floor and test one right beside the LG27GL83A-B and out of the box no adjustments the Dell monitor has better black and color levels. Side by side the Dell monitor was pixely since its 1080P rather than 1440P like the LG. My initial review out of the box was pure disappointment and I intended to return these. Adjustments changed my mind. Before adjustments the black levels were brownish grey off axis (while sitting and looking at the bottom left corner my background and Start menu/taskbar where brownish grey. If I moved directly in front of the area the black areas were black, no hint of grey or brown. The Dell monitors do not have this issue. Maybe its just the ones that were on sale?.. I dont know. Im keeping the boxes for the return period, jury is still out while I use them over the next 30-45 days. They are larger, sharper, and have higher refresh rate and that was my point.
