My garage door broke a couple weeks ago and I thought I would have to drop $500 to get someone to work on it. About 3 months ago, one of my 16 year old garage door openers quit working (I could hear the motor running but door wouldnt lift). I opened up the case on the garage door opener and saw that the main gear had stripped. I searched the web and ran across this kit. I figured I would give it a try. Well, it worked perfectly. I was amazed to be able to find repair parts for such an old door opener and was pleased that I could repair my door opener for around $20 instead of buying a new one. Installation took about an hour and a half. Was so pleased that when my other opener exhibited the same problem this month, I didnt hesitate to order another one.
