The listing said it was compatible with my opener, and it was! Added bonus that they give you that packet of grease. I thought that was pretty cool and I used it on all the moving parts in the housing.

I called a local reputable garage repair shop and they wanted to charge $140-$160... And they tried to sell me a new unit for $400 with installation. Im glad I said no. I read the reviews... Watched a couple of those YouT*be videos... And ordered the part. It arrived quickly in 2 days. It had descent instructions, but honestly I just glanced over them and got the job done in a 1 1/2 hours. ( It took that long because of the screws) Mind you that I have absolutely no experience at this! The 2 difficult parts were: 1-removing the screws to get the old gear/sprocket out. It was very tight to get your fingers and tools in.Use a 5/16 ratchet. 2- putting the screws in the the piece. As another reviewer said (or it was on a video), First , you have to Tap the screws in. I gently used a hammer, then screwed and unscrewed it in to create the threads. Run thru this first before you try to install it in. That was it. Research videos online on the Liftmaster Gear and sprocket kit. Dont waste $140. (btw, that garage repair place also wanted to sell me a part for $50 after I said I was going to do it myself...Ha!)

Although the directions were extremely small font, videos on the web made this an easy and very cost effective solution

This was the exact kit I needed and of the same quality.I dropped my garage door opener, took it to my workshop disassembled it and reassembled it with the easy to follow instructions.I reinstalled the garage door opener and it ran smooth as if it were new.I thought this would be a real task to do but it wasnt, just take your time and everything will come together.

So far so good. Not hard to install. Prior comments installation tips were a big help. I saved about $300 doing it myself

My garage door broke a couple weeks ago and I thought I would have to drop $500 to get someone to work on it. My father is a pretty good handyman and referred me to buy these parts and he could fix my door. These products did the trick! Quick shipping & great products. My garage door is still working after a few weeks of use.

I would have given this 5 stars except for two problems. One, the manual instructs to remove the motor, which is unnecessary. Two, the big metal plate just below the sprocket didnt have threads for the screws to screw into. Because of this, I had to spend another hour and a half trying to figure out how to disassemble and reassemble the kit, to add in the old metal plate, without damaging the parts. I should be paid for my extra time spent on this... After everything is said and done, however, it works just fine. I have a LW2200 Chamberlain 1/2hp opener.
