Liftmaster 41c4220a Gear and Sprocket Kit for Chamberlain, Sears, Craftsman and LiftMaster 1/3 and 1/2 HP Chain Drive Models

Everything looked great and I thought this was going to be a quick 30 minute job. However when I rent to screw the new assembly back into the garage door opener, they did not thread the screw holes. The holes were there, but they were not pre-threaded. So I had to make a trip to the hardware store to buy nuts and bolts that would fit to complete the job. If it were not for this problem, I would fully recommend this set. I would strongly recommend someone using this vs. buying just the gear b/c getting the gear off would be a major pain. This set is completely ready to drop in without that hassle (as long as the holes are threaded)

Thank God I found this. I dont know why its taking so many people so long to swap this out because it seriously took me 30 minutes to change this out and 30 minutes to align the chain. Great way to save some $$$. I thought I was going to have to buy a new unit or get butt raped by a garage door repair service but all it cost be was a little time and 2 days to wait for shipping!

This is not an easy fix. You need to have minimum DIY skills to be successful here. If you are comfortable around a screwdriver, grease, chains, and electrical components then I highly recommend. Definitely worth fixing vs buying a new unit. After swapping out the broken piece, my garage door is working like new.

Perfect. Had all the parts I needed to repair my opener. So much easier and cheaper than installing a new opener. Had to tap top plate but no big deal.
