> 24 hourReason for my repair was the main drive shaft oilite bushing had broken which caused the sprocket to rub against the support housing, it eventually sheared off the drive sprocket. Installation is a breeze if you not need to replace the worm gear- mine was in fine shape so I left the original part in place. I noticed some reviewers complained about the complexity of repair. For me no biggy, I removed the main drive unit from rail assembly, unbolted the cover, disconnected 2 power leads to the light fixture, then unbolted the 4 screws holding the motor unit to the housing base, you only need to disconnect 4 wire connectors and the whole motor assembly can be lifted out. Remove the four screws hold the circular metal support of the drive gear shaft and replace with the new part assembly from the kit. Reverse the dis-assembly steps and your back in business. In case youre wondering the repair kit is made in China. Part Quality seems fine.

> 24 hourProduct did not appear to be oem despite description otherwise (for the price hard to expect it would be). Decent text instructions were included. While Im no expert and havent seen another similar new part, there was some play in the bushing, so Im guessing it will not last as long as the original. Overall was happy this vendor provided the part on prime.

> 24 hourEverything fit and went together perfectly. However, ever since I installed this my garage door opener doesnt work. If its fully open, it needs assistance from me to close. I checked dozens of times for a disconnected wire or adjustment out of whack. I cant figure it out.

> 24 hourThis is one of the better purchases Ive made in a very long time. I had visions of having to replace the entire garage door opener. Then I was skeptical about what sort of rebuild kit I would get for that very low price. I was thrilled to receive the kit and see that I could essentially rebuild every wearing part in the opener. The rebuild did take some time but was straight forward and didnt require any special tools. The opener now works smoothly and quietly, just like new! A super bargain for the price and the parts provided.

> 24 hourGreat, faster, cheaper and easier than changing out the whole drive box. Only the main gear on mine was worn out so thats all I replaced. Works much quieter and smoother than it has in years. Instructions are decent, lots of help on line (you tube) if you need it though.

> 24 hourWorked great. I took everything apart when I ordered, then when the part arrived it was a 10 minute fix. Most of that time more with the chain than this part. For me the old part that broke was that top metal gear/sprocket.
