Greater than one weekMy original gear and socket kit failed after 9 years. This one installed just fine and has been working smoothly for over a month. Total time of the repair was roughly 2 hours (including removing the old pieces). 2 tips: 1) An electric/battery operated screwdriver/drill with a long phillips head bit is incredibly helpful. 2) Be sure to correctly align the top metal piece (just above the gears) so that the chain guard that protects the sprocket/chain correctly fits. Getting this wrong caused me 20 minutes of rework.

> 3 dayWorked great to convert a belt driven opener to an existing chain setup and door. Opener was free, so 25 dollars was not bad
