Greater than one weekTop-quality replacement parts from original manufacturer. It turns out that replacing the gears is kind of a big job, and even involves driving some bushings and pins in and out, but anybody with modest mechanical experience should be able to work through it. The included instructions were extremely complete, and made the job as easy as it could be. One minor gripe is that the required tools list is not complete, so I had to go digging through my toolbox partway through the job to get stuff I should have been warned about. The other minor gripe is is it didnt tell me to replace the bushing that the chain drive shaft spins on, but I that might be because the instructions have to deal with multiple unit types (and mine appears to be a transitional hybrid.) Still, it was easy enough to figure out where the extra part went, and how to swap it (and, the original part looked in fine shape even after 25 years of service, so if Id missed it Im sure it would have been no big deal.) The kit includes all the parts required to rebuild everything in the drivetrain between the motor shaft and the chain, including both moving parts and bushings. Well worth the small investment in cost and time.

Greater than one weekKit was perfect fit for my 1994 Chamberlain garage door opener. Fairly easy installation and a great price for the kit that a local repairman wanted to sell to me for twice the cost.

> 3 dayThis part of saved us the cost of a new unit and labor to install. It took my husband several hours to install. However, for less than $50 we have basically a new garage door opening mechanism.

> 3 dayAlthough Im a DIY, Im alittle hesitant about tearing apart a garage door opener when Ive never done one before. I t/w a garage door opener technician before I bought this, and he mentioned this is the part I need and its an easy replacement, so I ordered it. Got it within the range of time specified, perfect replacement for my Sears Craftsman 1/2 hp chain drive, and fairly easy to do. Took me longer than it should have as I try to understand the mechanics of everything before tearing it apart...but with that, it took only a couple hours. It will take me 20 minutes on my next one tho. I definately recommend this kit!

> 3 dayThis was one of the best purchases Ive ever made on Amazon. My garage door opener had stopped working. The motor would run but I would just get a grinding noise out of it with no door movement. I thought, great, now I have to replace the whole thing. Fortunately this was not the case. I found this complete unit pre-assembled and ordered immediately. The install was an easy 30 minutes or so. I simply could not believe how much quieter and smoother the door opened. After I put this in I also ordered a new light cover. With those installed my opener looks and runs like brand new! Very happy with this product!
