I use these with Apple HomePod. Setup was easy—don’t bother with the manufacturer app, just use the Home app on your iPhone

Was able to set up both Meross plugs within 10 minutes. I just used the Apple Home app and didn’t bother installing the Meross app! Context: I had tried another brand (VOCOlink) before this and spent over an hour and failed to install those plugs. Had to return them. So, this brand seems to be more reliable.

This plug works well with HomeKit and easy to install.

I bought these as a pack of 2. Really simple to set up. The 2nd one wouldn’t stay paired. It would work for a day or two then stop. I was using it to put behind my China cabinet & control my Christmas tree lights. You can imagine how frustrating it was to try & keep moving my China cabinet out to reset it! Then I trying to pair it for my son to use in the TV in his room. Could even hit it to pair

After buying (and liking) their HomeKit compatible garage opener, I decided to stay with the Meross brand and try out their Meross Smart Plug Minis as well (I bought the 2-pack). I liked the fact that they did not require me to install yet another hub device just to use them (unlike Belkin, Phillips, etc.) and installation and setup was very easy and quick; I had each smart plug added to HomeKit and ready to control in about a minute! The smart plug response is pretty good, and they seem to stay connected and ready to control without any hiccups (unlike some off-brand smart plugs I tried before that kept disconnecting or losing a signal). Two things of note - they do not have a function to show power consumption, and the LED light on the side of the smart plug (to show the on/off state) is very tiny. Aside from that, there is nothing at all to complain about these smart plugs. So, if youre looking for HomeKit-compatible smart plugs that just work with no hassle (easy setup, no extra hub required) the Meross Smart Plug Minis are an excellent choice!

On the surface, these smart plugs are pretty simple. Unfortunately, the two I received refused to link with Apple HomeKit, despite the various troubleshooting tips provided. They did connect properly to our Wi-Fi, and maybe they work better with another smarthome platform, but buyer beware. I ended up returning these and purchasing the Wemo plug instead. Twice the cost, but work like a charm without hassle.

I have 6 of the Meross smart plugs. They are easy to setup and use with my Samsung Smarthings app. When the power goes out, they always come back online without me being there to reset something.

Like other reviewers, I was extremely disappointed in this products inability to connect to HomeKit. After all, this is one of the few smart plugs to support HomeKit so youd think theyd make sure it worked. To be fair, this is the second batch of these plugs I purchased. I had no problems adding the first batch to HomeKit. Everything worked correctly. However, that was a while back and iOS has been updated and the outlets have had several firmware upgrades since then. My guess is that some incompatibility now exists that hasnt been addressed. The crazy part is, in order to upgrade the firmware, the plug first needs to be added to HomeKit! So if theres a bug in the firmware preventing the connection, then it appears there is no way to update the firmware to resolve it. A very poorly thought out design. What happens when trying to add it to HomeKit is that you first scan the code, the phone connects to the outlet, some information apparently gets updated because the plug reboots, but then things stop. I believe the outlet isnt updating correctly because you can see it doesnt join the home WiFi network. After the update, it still shows its setup network and the led is still blinking green and amber. Whatever is or isnt happening, I must have tried 15 times with two outlets and never got either of them to connect. I reset them, made sure my 5ghz network was turned off, rebooted the phone, tried a different device, disabled HomeKit on the router, etc. Thats a lot of troubleshooting for something that should work out-of-the-box. Finally, I reached out to support and have yet to hear anything back. Support appears to be by email only which means a bunch of back and forth telling me to do things Ive already tried. Its not worth the hassle. These are being returned.

I have several Meross Products and this is the first one I have bought which was on IOS.. The product itself is small, easy to use and works very nicely with Siri ( Siri responses are way too better than Alexa or Ok google ).. Things I think can be improved - Installation instructions ask you to start with Home app, which is incorrect, it did not work with it, I had to start with the meross app, and it guided me correctly. Rest was pretty straight forward. Works with Alexa and Ok Google .. although switching off / on using Apple watch is way too cool ( atelast for me ) The switch easily fits with one plug point and works as expected.. Other thing which is good to note is that you cannot control this outside your network, unless you have a IOS hub, which you can use your apple tv or a dedicated hub ( i have the TV, so no problems on that ) and I have not have to use it at the moment, so I think I am okay on that .. Plan to do a video install review later .. Cheers !!

I love the ability to control this from my phone. I set mine up in about 10 minutes (FYI - follow the prompts) and was able to use this in my living room in a spot that is behind my couch. I would normally have to move that beast to change the times. The fact that i can do that without moving the couch is awesome. I see the outdoor unit coming in the future. Simple to use and integrate. I may have to swap more of these out in my house especially for Christmas time
