> 3 dayWhen I attempted to install the device, SmartThings needed my login to the app. I stopped at this point because I dont want to install an app to get thus connected to SmartThings

> 3 dayOn the surface, these smart plugs are pretty simple. Unfortunately, the two I received refused to link with Apple HomeKit, despite the various troubleshooting tips provided. They did connect properly to our Wi-Fi, and maybe they work better with another smarthome platform, but buyer beware. I ended up returning these and purchasing the Wemo plug instead. Twice the cost, but work like a charm without hassle.

> 3 dayThese things worked GREAT! They have been really solid, and I love the additional button on them for manual control (it essentially acts like an on/off switch so you dont HAVE to use HomeKit / Siri / Automations to use them. I can appreciate when smart home devices dont get in the way of doing things. They should only make things easier, and thats exactly what these switches do! If you really truly only need one controllable outlet, then these are a great value and truly reliable. Having said that, Meross offers a similar product for only a few dollars more that gives you two independently controllable outlets in one, and when I saw those, I bought a bunch of them.

Greater than one weekThis is one of the more affordable smart plug for homekit on the market and hence was giving it a try. I was hoping it went well so that would replace my light switch with Meross as well. Sadly it didnt go as plan. I received 2 smart plugs towards end of Sept and I used it right away. The setup was easy and I was amazed that it was so quick to set it up and get it going. Fast-forward to 1st week of Nov (after around 6 weeks of usage), one of it stopped responding. I left it as-is for few days but the problem persisted. I reset the plug and tried to set it up again. It seems the Meross app has changed that I have to setup directly using Apple Home App (back in Sept during the initial setup, I can setup via Meross app first and the integrated with Home App, this seemed to have changed apparently). I have tried many times, resetting the plug, reboot my iPhone, etc. I couldnt get it added back with unreachable to device. Given that my 2nd plug is still working and theres no change in wifi configuration, I guess its the faulty item. I tried to get hold of Meross support via email. I sent emails 3 times (2 with safari browser and 1 with chrome browser. Theres 0 email notification that my case was received nor get any update on this subject. Will wait for another week and see if any response, but so far it doesnt seem promising. Update: Meross tech support got back to me with detail instruction. It finally works again (bump up to 4 stars). However, theres quite a few steps to undo on my network before its able to get it work again, like, removing my router from homekit, disable 5Ghz, disable client steering, ipv6, unplug apple-tv/homepod, etc, and redo all these.

> 3 dayThese work OK for a week or two at a time, but then they stop responding and you have to unplug them and plug them back in to get them back on the network, this is a problem because mine are behind cabinets and not easily accessible, the outdoor version of these is much better and much more reliable, if you have a lot of time to unplug and plug things back in then these are a good shot for you, but if you don’t like to do that sort of thing avoid these

> 3 day15+ months review - Customer support was responsive and tried updating the firmware to test a possible fix which unfortunately did not solve the issue. All connectivity issues disappeared after adding all Meross devices to a separate 2.4Ghz WIFI network, everything is working as expected now via the Meross app and the Homekit app. Zero glitches for over 6+ months. Updating my rating from 1 to 5 stars. 2+ months review - These smart plugs are a few feet away from the wireless modem yet they keep getting disconnected at random. When online they are not consistently detected by HomeKit. Disappointing results, I would return them if I could.

> 3 dayThese switches integrated relatively easily with HomeKit. Requires that you are on the 2.4Ghz wifi signal in order to connect these devices. The 2D barcode isnt in the most accessible area on the plug, so I had to scan the code and then plug in the device. The second plug that seemed to be a little more finicky so it required that it be plugged in while it was scanned in by HomeKit.
