> 24 hourHonestly my father owned the 5 switch version but it wasn’t enough so by getting the 8 you easily can have multiple connections and still keep your fast 1gb internet’s speed or even more without it hindering the performance at all!

> 24 hourRuns cool, no dropped connections. Im using this at a small workbench with multiple towers connected 24/7, and I frequently hook machines I am servicing to the open ports throughout the day.I have yet to have a machine not be detected, unlike my experience with an older 5 port version of this same switch.

> 24 hourI have always liked Netgear products and have never had any issue with them. I currently have 2 five port switches running in my office but needed one for our new finished basement so I could run all my devices over wired ethernet rather than through wireless. I have the switch sitting in a tv cabinet and it works great. It looks good, works well, doesnt get hot, and does what I need it to do. The price is good for an 8 port switch that runs at gigabit speed. I also like that non used ports do not consume power when not in use. Right now I am running an Apple TV, cable box, Xbox, and PS3 through the switch and it works as expected. I highly recommend Netgear products and especially their non-managed switches.

> 24 hourI bought this to help expand the wired network ports on our FiOS router. I replaced a 5-Port Netgear with this one and it has worked flawlessly after a very simple setup, basically connect and go.
