> 3 dayI love this stuff. It really softens the leather. There is not much in the way of shine if that is your preference. It gives good waterproofing. I have used it on a few leather briefcases, camera bags, camera straps and several pairs of shoes. it will darken the leather. Test on a spot first. Wonderful smell, and your hands feel great when you are done too. Great stuff.

Greater than one weekDefinitely a must for occupations that are hard wearing on boots. Will help with waterproofing, and scuffing protection. Would not recommend it for boots used just for fun, just for looks since this product can make your boots loose it’s patina

> 3 dayI got this product to use on a vintage handbag. I specifically went with this one because some of the reviews mentioned it noticeable darkens leather. I was planning on using it on a black bag so that was a non-issue. After multiple coats, the bag looks great.

> 3 dayA single application between the moving cushions of a leather recliner completely silenced the horrible grinding of the cushions rubbing against each other. Not to mention a little bit better speed of the reclining action. I wish I had found this cleaner/conditioner a few couches ago.

> 3 dayThe reason I purchased this preservative is for use in the leather foot bed of sandals to prevent them from collecting summer foot grossness. Without any protection, the foot bed gets sweaty and odor-iffic. I read that this stuff prevents bacteria growth and is a waterproofing agent, so I decided to give it a try. I just applied it to two brand new pairs of sandals yesterday, so I havent put them through any daily use yet, but Im already a fan of this stuff! The preservative soaks in very well, and has a pleasant, faint, honey-like smell. This preservative is almost like butter, and is very easy to use. The warmth of your fingers is enough to melt it just slightly and begin the absorption process. After applying with my fingers I used a hair-dryer set to high heat and it really helped to melt it completely into the leather. You can literally see it becoming one with with the leather! While you can tell that there is a just a hint of waxiness to the treated surface, its much more natural than I was expecting. I applied 3 layers and can hardly tell its there. Im guessing it will become even less evident as I continue to wear them. **One bit of warning on color change: It darkens light-colored leather quite a bit. In fact, Id say a LOT. What was initially a creamy, light-colored leather foot-bed (would call it a very light flesh-tone) became many shades darker (like a well-tanned beach babe) after application. I didnt mind the color change, but is something to keep in mind if you are concerned about any color change from your original light leather color. The color change for darker brown and black leather was almost imperceptible. But light will be quite a bit darker after this stuff is applied. The only sort of downside is that it takes several hand-washings and some soapy scrubbing to completely remove the waxiness from your fingers after applying it. But its not terrible, and certainly not a deal-breaker.

> 3 dayI quickly did a couple pairs of boots, and then re-coated about 24 hours later. Brought some life back to some dry leather danners

> 3 dayWhether your boots say “waterproof” or not - this boot preservative is a must. Don’t be fooled by spray-on “preservatives”. The all natural ingredients last far longer than the synthetic alternatives out there. I wear my boots every day on the farm and they get a lot of wear - water, mud and dirt. I apply Obenaufs several times per year and when my boots finally wear out it’s because there’s holes in the sole - the leather is still in good shape! Great stuff.
