As a mechanic I constantly battle vehicle electric wire harness problems, most of the problems are in the wire harness electrical plug connections making bad contact, corroded , moisture getting inside (mostly on motorcycles and ATVs). I unplug the harness connectors apply di electric grease and plug back in and I know I will never have an electrical harness problem, the wire harness plugs on motorcycles and ATVs are open up to the rain and mud more so than cars and this protects it so you will never have problems. I had my pickup with the air bag fault light on, it was the passenger seat connector plug not making contact and di electric grease corrected it. Its my secret weapon for being an electrical wizard on vehicles

My main use for this was for the contact points on the 7-pin connector for my trailer. It also gets used occasionally for other electric contact points like battery terminals and bulbs and such. And since its Permatex it does what its made for.

DO NOT ASSUME YOUR CAR NEEDS THIS. Always read the manual that does not come with your car- if you are doing DIY stuff, always buy the mechanical manual for your model, which is a separate purchase. My husbands old car mechanical manual said it was ok to put some, so he did. It worked ok. A friend borrowed some and without consulting his car manual, went ahead and applied it to his car parts, the result was random shaking from the engine when he started it. Excellent dielectric at a reasonable price. Its Permatex, after all.

Just wanted to mention the female threaded skirt of the tubes plastic cap broke completely off early on, so theres no way to reseal the tube after each use. Will have to find another cap somewhere. No problems with the grease itself - its the good stuff.
