Great product, used this when I was tracking down a wiring problem on an old motorcycle. Coated the wire harness as I was trouble shooting the bikes electrical system.

While there are many useful applications for this grease, I actually use this on mechanical keyboards as stabilizer lube - there are often a couple keys where the stabs rattle a little bit when pushed quickly. For this you just a apply a tiny bit (I use a plastic collar stay) into the stabilizer clips and the rattle is gone. Makes mechanical keyboards sound amazing, like pure ASMR!

This is one of the best grease to use. This grease does not dissolve in most liquids, so it is good for marine, car and outdoor applications. You can use this grease to lubricate the rubber parts of electrical connectors, spark plug wires, and to protect electrical connections on your boat or recreational vehicle from corrosion. Permatex Dielectric Tune-Up Grease should work well on a variety of pin connector materials without creating any kind of resistance or barrier to current flow Just make sure before applying grease that connectors are clean. Protects electrical connections and wiring from salt, dirt and corrosion. Extends the life of bulb sockets. Prevents voltage leakage around any electrical connection. Also prevents spark plugs from fusing to boots. Required for modern high energy ignition systems. Happy with purchase would buy again!

Not only will Dielectric grease help to keep moisture out, it will also make it easier to remove spark plug boot next time you change the spark plugs.

This requires a little thinking before slapping it on. this dielectric is not a conductor, it is actually an insulator. It is silicone and silicone is an insulator that does not dry out but it does smear everywhere easily so you have to be careful where you put it. It is designed to seal out water around the perimeters of rubber boot connectors in other places you dont want water to enter. It is not designed for the electrical pins, or sockets, etc. Google diakectric uses to make sure you understand before using this product. There is a silver based silicon product that is great for conducting electricity and helping out electrical connections if thats really what you need. This is an insulator not a conductor so when used properly its a great product and does what it supposed to do, insulating electrical boots etc free of water. good for using along the side a rubber spark plug boots, but not on the tip or the electricity flows. bottom line: earned five stars! Use of this product is often misunderstood so do a little research first.

I use silicone grease liberally for automotive purposes. Its an excellent dressing for rubber parts in addition to general lubrication. Unfortunately I now have a pretty full tube of it and no cap. So its a big mess and a lot of wasted lube in my tool drawer. All I did was put the cap on. And the plastic cap broke apart. If you buy this, do yourself a favor and get a tube of cheap toothpaste at the same time. Youll need the spare cap.
