Portion control and feeding is great. The only downside is the volume. I can’t hear my voice at all. I’m not sure if I got a defective one or if the sound is just super soft which in case wouldn’t do any justice if myself or our cat can’t hear me talk. I tried pressing the volume button and it really is just super soft.

So it does six portions different sizes but no where is it written on how big that is is so trial and error. Interface is clunky way to much to adjust anything . Does it work yes would I buy it again probably not.

So confusing on how to set up

Having two cats and two humans with busy lives doesnt make feeding easy. Some times we dont get home until late, and all the food weve left out for them is gone and theyre starving *eyeroll*. Did I mention that one of these cats nibbles ALL DAY LONG and enjoys throwing herself at bedroom doors at 4 in the morning because she wants to be fed? Yes, that used to happen EVERY morning. This feeder has stopped all that. As soon as I had it set up and the buttons programmed (pushing through all of them is rather tedious but its worth it) then discovering that 1 portion is a third of the scoop my vet recommended, setting up their feeding schedule was easy. My vet recommends 2 scoops per day for each of my chonky babies, which equals a breakdown of 2 portions every 4 hours. No more over feeding! My male runs to the feeder when it goes off, eats his half and then lets my mouthy female have her share. Its quite civilized how they do this. I was afraid having the food all in one bowl would not work well but I guess that just goes to show how much they like each other. Go figure. I have only had it a week so I cant attest to the ease, or not, of cleaning, and I didnt program the voice recording because they hear it go off and dont need me to call them. I wish I had bought the bigger of the two models, as the smaller one seems to only hold a 3 pound bag of food, but feeding them a set amount at specific times will now hopefully make that 3 lb bag stretch more than before when we were free feeding. If you have more than 2 cats, the bigger would probably be better, because Im assuming it would hold that 5 lb bag. Great feeder!

I really like this feeder. It’s smart and it really works. Unfortunately I have a medium size dog and the portion sizes are pretty large when only feeding twice a day. It gets stopped up and doesn’t continue to dispense all of the food. It needs some extra attachments. A larger bowl option, maybe a pedestal so it can sit higher and not get clogged up.

Cat no longer constantly begs because the food comes from this machine and not me. Setup programming is confusing at first but I got over it. I dont use their bowl as I feel its too deep and causes whisker fatigue. The Cat Guru shallow bowl fits perfectly.

I absolutely love this feeder with its ability to set 6 feedings with portions ranging from 1-50 but believe me youll never set past 4 portions per feeding with how well sized the portions are and that the bowl only holds about 5-6 portions perfectly packed down. Also why I say never more than 4 portions is because 5 portions and more cause the feeder to clog from the kibble stacking, unless you have a foodie pet that loves to have their face in the bowl. The only cons about this feeder and this model are that the speaker could be a little louder for when your recording plays as the kibble drops. Not that they cant hear the kibble falling anyways. The other con is that the bowl is really shallow, for most it may not be a problem but for those that have fellow kibble dropping t-rex chomping furry friends it tends to get a bit tiring always seeing kibble dropped right next to the bowl.

My cat, is very upset I purchased this. He has to wait until he hears the wonderful food hit the metal bowl. Then, my fat cat, moves faster than I see him move all day. I think its great! I dont have to remember to feed him, its portion controlled. Hes still not losing weight because on occasion I catch him eating the dogs food... otherwise this feeder works as expected and was pretty easy to set up.

I really like the compact size of this feeder. But I wish the portions were in oz. Tried setting a couple of times and still haven’t gotten the correct portion, because it’s says it’s set in ml, but doesn’t configure that way.
