Missing adapter. I’m a big fan of the product but this is just inconvenient.

I would say that this product is pretty good for what I expected. I would say really that my only problem is the color purple. Even though I dont favor that color to begin with, I notice these lights seem to have somewhat of a hard time achieving that color. All the other colors in my opinion are good. The Out-of-House connectivity is really good as long as whatever device youre controlling the lights from is actually connected well to the internet. My S.O. was in Florida for vacation and I was in Oklahoma waiting for him to get back. He would change the lights from Florida and the reaction time was pretty darn impressive. These lights are also nice for when you still want light but want it dimmed or if you want to set certain moods such as making yourself more alert and focused or more calm. We have these two light bulbs plus the light strip (which is probably my favorite). If you dont think youll use the colors a bunch, just purchase the regular white Philips Hue. My lights are always on color so I prefer these over the white ones. However if youre wanting a more vibrant look or something to make your PC setup look cool etc, Id suggest the light strip. It is much brighter and more vibrant and has the same capability as the light bulbs. These lights also have music/gaming modes which we use a ton. If youre sensitive to blinking light then I wouldnt suggest that too much. The gaming mode matches more the color scheme of your game rather than imitate sound like the music mode does (for both light strip and the Lightbulbs). But like I said, if you want a more dramatic and rich color, the strip is probably your best option. Other than that, cant complain!

I use this to sync the color of movies being given by light. First open the software from computer. Sync the light thru entertainment by movie. Open movie from computer ( download, streaming, DVD or Bluray). Connect wireless to TV or via hdmi adapter. Enjoy movie with synchronize colored lights.

I have been wanting to get Hue lights for a while now and I figured this was the perfect opportunity since they were on sale. They are quite expensive and I could never justify spending that much on light but I am glad I did. They are great for my room and they even turn off when I need to go to sleep and turn on when I need to wake up. I enjoy them and will probably continue to buy more in the future. Update after only 2 months: After only have these bulbs for 2 months, one of them is not working anymore. Every time I screen it in it will blink non stop. I can no longer connect to it and my bridge doesn’t even recognize it. This should not be happening to such an expensive product especially after barley even using it. If you are thinking about buying it, just don’t. You may think it is convenient to have but in reality it is just a waste of money. I was super excited to get them at first but now I am regretting buying these!

I was originally planning on waiting until after we move to get into Philips Hue lighting, but the deal was too good to pass up. Overall it’s very solid lighting, no connection issues so far, go to sleep/wake up feature is nice. I already had a bunch of LIFX bulbs, and comparing the two I noticed a handful of differences. The hue bulbs are much lighter and slightly smaller than the heavy lifx bulbs, the regular lifx bulbs are much brighter (lifx mini was only slightly brighter), the colors were similar except the reds and blues of the lifx being brighter and more intense, hue bulbs have a more stable connection (probably due to the bridge), the apps are both decent (lifx app is a little simpler, maybe because I’ve been using it for a while). There are a lot more third party apps and features for philips hue. I combined 2 hue bulbs and 1 lifx mini bulb in 3 spot light lamps behind my tv (I bought a 3rd hue bulb and originally had it behind the tv with the other 2 hue bulbs, and decided to swap a lifx mini into the mix for better intensity of blues). I love the setup, it’s much cheaper than the hue play lamps I was originally eyeing. I added some pictures of some different scenes, my light setup, and the difference between using the hue vs lifx on blues (it really doesn’t show well on camera, but the blues on the hue bulbs are much lighter blue than the super intense blue of the lifx bulb.) Turquoise or aqua colors look better on the hue bulbs in my opinion, the purple is nice too. I have another spot light lamp in my bedroom, behind the tv next to a philips aura lamp (I was able to add the aura to the bridge and HomeKit, even though it said it wasn’t compatible with philips hue, YAY!). I have the aura lamp set up to start the “wake up” feature a half hour before the hue bulb in the spot lamp. It’s nice in the morning, and the tv blocks any glaring light. Works perfectly. Please excuse my mess of cables in the photos!
