I honestly do not know what I would do without these lights. If you are thinking about buying them, stop thinking and just buy them.

I bought as a birthday gift for my 12 year old nephew and he really enjoys setting the colors on his phone app.

I ordered a Phillips hue light bulb starter kit with a hub. What I got was a Sengled hub with 2 singled bulbs. Now I’m worried because I also ordered Phillips light strips. Not sure if they will all link. The picture shown is not what I ordered

Ok I absolutely LOVE these lights but I still cant reccomend them because at 40$ per bulb theyre just not worth it. Sure they can change colors and dim but there are cheaper lights that can do 80% of what these do at half the price. The worst thing about them is the low amount of Lumens, I got a cheap LED bulb (Around 20$) with 1600 Lumens. Thats TWICE what these bulbs can do. What that means is that to get the equivalent of that light I would have to spend 80$ (4x More!) to get the same brightness. Its really disappointing how these are SO EXPENSIVE and Phillips wont lower the price. Get something else, the colors are cool but not worth it for the price.

I bought the starter kit I guess. The the bridge and two bulbs work well. Theyre fun and convenient and now Im just hooked. I want way more bulbs! Only... I going to buy some alternative because with the Philip Hues I just cant rationalize a repurchase were they even half the present price.

Worked fine for 31 days. On day 32, it stopped working. Tried changing channel on hub. Tried moving the hub closer to the bulb. Tried moving bulb into another lamp that had a working bulb. Pretty pathetic for a $50 light bulb. Since it is beyond the Amazon return window by 2 days, I called Phillips and fortunately they will send me a new one after I complete their return process.

One of the bulbs stopped working just over 2 years after purchase. These bulbs are way too expensive to have this happen. I own 6 total Hue bulbs, and some are 10 years old without problems. Update: I contacted Hue support, and they shipped me a brand new bulb. I’ve increased my rating based on this. I also have a cheaper brand of smart bulbs, which consistently disconnect throughout the day. However, these bulbs have never disconnected. Beware of the generation of Hue bulb you purchase. Different generations have significantly different display colors.

I use the iConnectHue app with these lights, and it very cool and helpful to change the beautiful colors. I set a timer so the lights turn on in the morning when my alarm goes off. I also use these to stream on Twitch and they look super cool.

Really dissapointed to find out that the hub has to be directly connected to your router in order for it to work. Unfortunately, I do not have access to my landlords router that I use. Just ordered a MagicLight WiFi bulbs for only $16 and it has WiFi capabilities- no Ethernet cable needed! Basically does the exact same thing at a fraction of the cost.
