> 3 dayThis is a great deal for the amount of product you receive. I am a huge fan of Hue products and recently got my girlfriend a amazon echo and wanted to increase her functionality to make it useful. The bulbs and hub work flawlessly, are easy to set up and work better than advertised. I can’t say enough good things about these lights and I would definitely recommend them. Buying two separate bulbs alone are as much as this entire setup.

Greater than one weekThese lights have given my home new LIFE. I always have them on, always switching colors depending on my mood, or on what Im watching. Theres even third party apps you can download and sync with your lights so that they can constantly be changing colors depending on music or on what youre watching. They are the best. Im looking forward to eventually having them having them all over my place!!!

> 3 dayFirst, lets talk about the cheap bulbs that you can also buy: Ive tried cheaper bulbs (ranging from $15-$35), and while they were inexpensive since they didnt need a hub, Ive found them to be really bad investments. They have died within a couple months, but worst yet, they were NOISY. High pitch ringing that got even louder the brighter the bulbs were. When replacing a dead smart bulb from another vendor this past Saturday, the housing completely came apart unscrewing it from the socket. If anyone was not wise enough to know what to do, it could have led to a serious electrical shock. Now, the Phillips Hue bulbs, while more expensive, are worth every penny. Completely silent, and Ive installed these in a couple homes now along with the dimmer switch. The software is also more comprehensive and allows for a number of custom scenes, scenarios, timers, and smartly turning on/off when you leave or arrive at home. While you can get the cheaper bulbs, DONT. It isnt worth the noise, high failure rate, and poor construction quality. The additional upside of being able to utilize a number of accessories (like the motion sensors, dimmers, and others) makes these a worthwhile investment.

> 3 dayAbsolutely love the product. This is the first used product I have boughten off Amazon and it appeared as if it was new. The lights are perfect and easy to control from the app, google assistant, and alexa. I have also paired some of my rooms / scenes with a Hue Smart Switch. an easy, practical solution for rooms without light switches or ceiling lights.

> 3 dayId wanted to upgrade my Hue hub to v2, and this kit went on sale so I grabbed it. If youre still on the v1 hub and see no reason to upgrade, it IS convenient to use voice commands to power or set the bulbs and color changes respond much more quickly. Hue provides a nice Hub Upgrade Wizard in the app, so upgrade was painless. Philips doesnt include an envelope to mail back the old hub, or instructions to get one, so most people will throw their e-waste into the trash (sad). Only downside to these is they still cant reproduce some shades of pure green and blue, but theyre better than the gen1 bulbs.

> 3 dayTwo years in, i so regret the money I sunk into this system. Lousy app. Any power outage of any sort forces you to set up the whole system all over again (today I did it for at least the 10th time). The repeated frustrations aren’t worth the hassle or expense. Instead of this, considering making your outlets smarter (wemos). These bulbs and accessories are just dumber than a bag of hammers, one of which I look forward to taking to the infernal “bridge.” This isn’t the iOT we were promised.
