Nice bulbs, colors little off when telling Alexa, but will be buying more

Lights work just as described, fully functional from app, Alexa and Comcast home security. These lights do a million and one things, any of them really necessary? Probably not but we bought them on PrimeDay for a decent price so they are fun to have!

These things are so frickin cool! Fiancé debated buying them for years and is sooo happy to finally have them! Especially like syncing them up with music!

I have bought quite a few smart home devices and this is the worst I have ever bought. Problem 1: The hub has to be always plugged in with Ethernet cable, and the coverage is limited, if your home isn’t pre-wired with ethernet you are out of luck. This is the ONLY smart home devices I bought have no WiFi integrated, I have no idea what the “WiFi certified” logo means on the hub. Problem 2: the bulb claims to have a brightness of 800 but in reality it is very dark compared with a usual 840 bulb. Problem 3: the app doesn’t report the real status of the light bulb. Even when wall switch has been turned off, the app would still report the light is on. Overall I am pretty disappointed with the Hue product line, yeah I get it that changing the color is cool but if it doesn’t even work as a regular smart bulb, what is the point of buying them?

Love home integration. Nice for the bedroom for a nighlight or the office for an accent light.

I like the Hue light, I also have about 8 Maxcio which are good but dont have all the features of the Hue. I do wish that the Hue app had some of the features of the other apps that you can download in the app store.
