> 3 dayJust amazing! I use this to have my office lights come on automatically when I walk in. I have it set to dimmer colors in the morning and afternoon, but bright in mid day. I have never had a single issue. You can even set it to turn the lights off after x minutes of no motion. The Hue app also tells you every time it detects motion, so you can tell if someone entered the room and when!!!

> 3 dayI was actually quite leery of buying this motion detector. A lot of reviews were rather scathing of it and I was nervous. But I am glad I took the risk, because it works flawlessly. First, it was super simply to setup. It didnt even take a minute. Next, mounting it is just as easy. They even make it possible for you to use the same screw on the sides of the magnetic backing in order to mount it at an angle without having to use special hardware. Lastly, it just works. It has worked better than I expected, no false triggers and no issues with it failing to detect motion. The sensitivity settings are very accurate and Im just happy with it.

> 3 dayI bought this to have a nightlight scene triggered when I walk into my kitchen at night. The motion sensor works great but the software implementation still has a number of issues, which is why I only gave 4 stars. If the use of the motion sensor didnt rely so heavily on the Philips Hue software, itd be 5 stars.

Greater than one weekLove this motion sensor. In a room that is rarely entered and for short periods of times, this worked perfect to have the light turn on when I walk in and off after 10 minutes.

> 3 dayThe concept makes a lot of sense. Walk into the bathroom, lights come on. You can even set intensity for different time periods. For example, if its in the middle of the night, you can set it to come on dim so youre not blinded going from dark to bright light. Awesome....if it would work. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt and I have to go back out and flip the light switch, which sort of defeats the purpose of the device. If Philips can get it to work consistently, theyd have a great product on their hands...until then, two stars.

> 3 dayI think 2 stars in kind of harsh to give this sensor, but feel a message needs to be sent for the horrible support provided for this product. When they work, they are phenomenal, 5 stars. The problem lies with when they do not, which for me, only owning the product for less than 2 weeks, has been more often than they worked. I bought 2 sensors, set them both up in my kitchen to control some Hue strip lights. When I say I was done in just over a minute, I mean it. So far so good. Then the popup for the software update came. Ran the update and the lights continued to work, but the motion sensors kept saying unreachable. Instructions were of no use. Tried going to the Hue website and there is literally no support whatsoever for the product. Not even a message board where others could help support the product. I hit the internet, read all of the move the hub as far away from your access point threads. All the threads about wiping everything out and starting over. Nothing helped. This went on for 4 days. In those 4 days I cannot begin to tell you how many times I tried to resync the motion sensors with the hub to no avail. It kept telling me to press the setup button for 1 second to put it into setup mode and the app just kept saying searching for motion sensor. I finally came across a post someplace that said to hold the setup button in for at least 10 seconds until it starts flashing different colored lights... Voila! I again had the 2 sensors setup in under a minute. Why the app tells you a second, when it needs to be pressed for 10 seconds I have no idea. Guess someone figure hey, its a zero, its worth nothing. Why Philips provides no online support for this product, I have no idea, not even a forum for other to support their products for them. Im now at the point where they work again, but the lights do not stay on for the 3 minutes with no motion as I have them set. They turn off after about a minute. They also seem to dim slightly after about 30 seconds for no reason. Im scared to do much of anything after the hell Ive been through the past week. I did confirm all my settings are correct multiple times and I did toggle all the settings I wanted on and off a few times, but the minor problems persist. Everything was working perfectly prior to the software update. If it works, the motion sensor is great. My problem is the incredible lack of support and the fact that it was all brought crashing down after a software update. If this is what I have to look forward to in the future, Im regretful I invested so much money in Hue light products.

> 3 dayWorks well but software holds it back. if they allowed for more customization within the hue app, this could be very useful. Will update if they improve the software.
