> 3 dayI was actually quite leery of buying this motion detector. A lot of reviews were rather scathing of it and I was nervous. But I am glad I took the risk, because it works flawlessly. First, it was super simply to setup. It didnt even take a minute. Next, mounting it is just as easy. They even make it possible for you to use the same screw on the sides of the magnetic backing in order to mount it at an angle without having to use special hardware. Lastly, it just works. It has worked better than I expected, no false triggers and no issues with it failing to detect motion. The sensitivity settings are very accurate and Im just happy with it.

> 3 dayAs of January 2019, this device works well without a Hue Bridge, just using an Amazon Echo. Features that I am missing: - Disable sensor during daylight (e.g., to not turn lights on when theres already sunlight) ... as a workaround, we can set the times of the day when the sensor should be active - Adjust detection sensitivity of sensor - Trigger action if no motion detected for at least X minutes <-- currently, X must be at least 1 minute. A lower setting would be great. I believe the second feature (and potentially more) exists if using a Hue Bridge.

> 3 dayThe only reason Im not giving 5 stars is due to inconsistency in motion detection. Sometimes I was noticed at the bottom of my staircase, others only when I reached the top. My solution was to add a sensor.

Greater than one weekI have this in my entry way and set up so it turns on lights when I come home at night. So far it has not dropped off the Alexa+ I have unlike KASA devices and amazons branded smart plugs. It works for real IMHO unlike many things that say they “work with” Alexa.

> 3 dayThe motion sensor I bought has gone bad in less than a year. Philips/Hue customer service cant solve the problem. They are coming with innovative reasons to not replace the product. This is really bad service from Hue for the early adopters. I guess better go for cheaper alternatives with this kind reliability..

> 3 dayIt takes a few minutes to mount and setup and works as intended. I was so impressed that I immediately bought a second one and added more hue bulbs to my home.

> 3 dayReally easy to use but has a fatal flaw: there are settings for “when motion detected” for day and night, but only one setting for what to do after X minutes idle, instead of “x minutes idle during day” vs “during night” ... this means we can’t use it to dimly turn on lights in middle of night it otherwise during the day use our lights like normal. Such a strange oversight!

> 3 dayI actually purchased two of these sensors for my two-story home: one for my kitchen pantry and the other for my stairwell. The sensor in my pantry works flawlessly and I havent experienced any issues with it during the two weeks after I installed it. However, the one that I installed for my stairwell turns on my stairwell light on its own and at random times. The setup worked fine for the first day or two, but then it started functioning on its own accord for some reason that Ive yet to figure out. It also randomly times fails to pick up any motion even when waving or moving frantically just a couple feet away. Also, I live alone and there have been several times that Ive woken up in the morning to find my stairwell light turned on and there have been other times that the sensor has turned on my stairwell light randomly while Im at home. The second problem with this is that I configured that sensor to turn off the stairwell light after 3 minutes of no detected motion. That configuration seems to have gone out the window as well as the light wont turn off until I turn it off. If I cant figure out why the one sensor is doing all this, I may need to exchange it as a defective unit. We shall see...
