Very easy to install, I just set it on top of a door frame in the hall, and the lights turn on when I come through the door. Sometimes I have to wave my hand a little or get closer, but maybe I can move it closer or turn up the sensitivity.

Dead out of the box... Would not connect to my hub. Other items connecting fine. Pulled battery, did a ton of resets. Sent back to Amazon. With other options out there, I ordered a different sensor.

What’s not to like about this? Works great, looks good and easy to install! Honestly, I don’t have anything negative to say about any Philips products except they’re on the pricey end. But because I expect nothing but high quality from them, I don’t mind paying for it I guess haha...

It worked wonderfully the first day. After that we have to be relatively near it to capture the movement. We are at half the hallway to see us. Ill check the batteries which were new and came with the hue sensor. Installation was easy. Im giving it a 3 cause the inefficiency sensor which is the purpose of the gadget.

I purchased this sensor to make my front porch light motion activated (the light is a hue bulb obviously). It works perfectly. Setup is super simple, and the sensor is very reliable. I love that its battery powered so I dont need an outlet (although it would be cool if Hue did offer a combined bulb + motion sensor all in one unit). Random bonus feature: this thing also has a temperature sensor. You cant do much with it currently other than using a Hue Labs experimental feature to change your lights if it gets too cold or too hot. So for example, you can flash a light in your home if it is getting too cold outside. Anyway, this sensor is great. Now I just wish they would make it less expensive.

The sensor allows you to unleash the full potential of the Hue ecosystem. It’s nice to control from your phone, but what’s even better is being completely handsfree! Adjustable settings for bulb brightness too, depending on time of day.

Works pretty well. Has 2 time settings so you can have lights brighter at one time of the day than other. Just wish you could be more granular on the brightness setting (only a few settings not a range/dial).

This was super easy to install and it works perfectly. Only thing that is preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating is the limited options in settings. You can only set up for daytime and evening hours. I would like to have one setting during the day time, one in the evening and another late at night. Other than that, very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it

    Greater than one week

Worked for a few months then failed. No help from Hue app help section.

As of January 2019, this device works well without a Hue Bridge, just using an Amazon Echo. Features that I am missing: - Disable sensor during daylight (e.g., to not turn lights on when theres already sunlight) ... as a workaround, we can set the times of the day when the sensor should be active - Adjust detection sensitivity of sensor - Trigger action if no motion detected for at least X minutes <-- currently, X must be at least 1 minute. A lower setting would be great. I believe the second feature (and potentially more) exists if using a Hue Bridge.
