Greater than one weekSet up is pretty easy, need to not be on Wi-Fi for initial setup. Had to disable firewalls to keep the network from booting the device. Resetting to defaults is not very easy. Decent product but could use better setup guide and improvement

> 3 dayWe finished our basement last year, and prior to that we took all the necessary steps to ensure our basement stayed dry... waterproofed the walls with a french drain, scoped all lines, replaced our sump pump and back up sump. We thought we were safe. However, our sump pump and back up has failed on us several times since (once was due to the float getting hung up and us unplugging the pump while we waited for the plumber - and then failed to check on it). Thankfully we were able to catch the overflow both times before they were severe, but we felt very fortunate that we were able to do so. To give us peace of mind, we finally invested in what we should have several years ago. I installed this myself in 10 minutes, in heels. So easy to setup. I had the outlet, water sensor, and wifi all completed and operational in no time at all. Its working flawlessly so far. I let the well fill to the point of setting off the sensor to test it and it sent me the alert immediately. Wish we wouldve purchased this years ago!

> 3 dayKinda false advertising. States free monitoring 24/7. By their own admission, all this device does is monitor. So, you are paying 159.00 for monitoring, nothing else. I asked why they did not include an audible high water alarm. Their response was that it is not an often asked for improvement. But, they do offer a separate audible high water alarm. So, if you have a failure when you are asleep you will wake up to a possible flooded basement. It does tell you how many times your pumps runs every day. Big whoop! I’ll tell you exactly how many times it should run; every time the water level rises enough to to trip the float switch. Don’t pay for meaningless information, like how many gallons were pumped. Who cares? I’m keeping mine but I think it is terribly expensive for what you get. I did buy their separate high water alarm, $12.00 that’s a bargain

> 3 dayDoes exactly what it says it will do, but check it periodically to make sure your phone is still connected. Sometimes if your phone updates you’ll need to sign in to the app again. Had trouble reconnecting so I did a chat session with customer support. They were so helpful and we troubleshooted until we figured it out. It was an error on my part. They told me they would stay on with me until we figured it out! I definitely recommend Pump Spy.

> 3 dayThe customer service is pretty good. HOWEVER, I bought two, and both had a red ring within the year. They did replace both, but the worst part is the app, hands down. It randomly loses all of your information. You have to constantly check on it to ensure that it is working or else you may not be notified of pump failures. This kind of defeats the purpose of pump monitoring, if I have to do monitoring of my pump monitoring. You no longer receive texts of failures, it only allows emails, which is only as fast as your email sync. PumpSpy app randomly decided to no longer work, and I just happened to find out that it switched to Smart Power 24/7. On paper, it is a good product with great customer service. In execution, especially the app and notification, it is awful, and causes almost as much concern as no pump monitoring at all.

> 3 dayOverall this is a good product and I would purchase again. I did have the same connectivity issues, noted by others. System didnt want to connect to internet with 3-4 bars- I purchased a WIFI booster and it connected without issues. PROs: does what is says- monitors sump pump activity and alarms very quickly and reliably. CONs: the outlets are not tight- primary sump pump has no issues--back up sump pump has a heavy plug which has worked out of the outlet...a zip tie fixed this. Side note: this was installed on a new build house, which flooded prior to closing, when power was lost. So, I know the basement will flood if there isnt a workable pump system. I complained to the builder about the constant activation of the sump and was disregarded- I used this system via the app to show the builder that my pump was activating 2500+ times a day and discharging up to 27K gallons of water (Yes!!!!). The builder came out and found that a discharge line they installed was essentially recirculating water to the foundation. This wouldve burned out the primary pump and flooded my basement. This product, while expensive, does what its supposed to do.

> 3 dayMy unit does not give me data on my pump performance as it is supposed too. My friend likes her PumpSpy and tells me it works well. It comes with a water level monitor that works. If my main pump failed and the back up kicked in. My old pump failed and my basement flooded. I really want to avoid that. The advantage of the data I do not get would warn that the main pump is in trouble. I have been working with customer service and they are sending a new unit. They have been pleasant to deal with. This is an up date.

> 3 daySo, I’ve had basement water problems since we bought our house 17 years ago. Multiple time where my pump failed and flooded my basement. I’ve had back up systems fail as well. So I stumbled across this product and I’ve had it running for about 2 weeks now. My results are startling. It was fairly simple to set up and get running. Maybe like 5 minutes. The app is easy to use. But what I learned about why I’m getting water is the biggest thing I learned. My sump pump goes off, on average 900-1200 times per day. With an average of 5800-8300 gallons of water per day. Once I seen those numbers, I needed to do more investigating as to why. My first thought it is rain water running through, but I found out that there is a water inlet pipe right next to the sump area and has sprung a leak under the basement floor. While it’s not an easy fix, it is definitely fixable and will remove the terrible events of my basement filling up once every 1-2 years. Thank you pump spy for being available to so it could open my eyes and investigation as to why I have basement water problems. I highly recommend this product

> 3 dayCouldnt connect to the outlets own PumpSpy wifi network to setup with android devices or windows wifi laptops. Tech support let me know latest android updates are causing connection issues but no explanation for lack of laptop connectivity. The only workaround was to manually connect with an apple i-thing of your choice. Which then worked as expected to inform the outlet which network to connect to. Then I had to manually add 16 digit serial number to app on android device to connect. Then clear cache to get app working all correctly. Tested all features and all seems to be working properly. Four stars for now due to lack of plug and play for me. Great support though! Last star will be pending longevity and reliability.

> 3 dayThe Pump Spy is excellent at monitoring the water level and run times/frequency of the sump pump. Notifications can be set up and work as expected. Great to be able to see how many times the pump runs each day and of course if there is a power outage. We had a basement flood due to a sump pump failure and this product provides extra peace of mind. App/website are not the flashiest but they provide the data required and no issue with functionality. With heavy rains, I need to know if I have sump pump issues as basement can flood. I have a back up pump, connected into a different power circuit in case the original circuit trips and I have a back up generator. Support is above and beyond the best! Email support helped me on a Saturday afternoon and during Sunday to get it working. Best Support EVER!! I love this device and am now recommending to all my friends and work groups.
