> 3 dayThis is capsule form (the best way to take it for both absorption and safety). Pure Encapsulations makes it, and so far, theyre the company that I swear by....I no longer have the medical issues that had become quite serious until I read an article posted by a woman on the internet who had gone through the same thing -- and both of our problems were all attributed to something as simple as low or no magnesium!! No doctor that I saw figured this out (or wanted to tell me about this simple fix)....read up on magnesium -- then when youre convinced, buy THIS one....I cant be more pleased with a supplement than this!!

> 3 dayI have trouble getting back to sleep if I wake up during the night and this helps. Also, I sometimes have achy legs which also is alleviated. Recommend trying at least for the 45 days if you have these concerns.

> 3 dayI manage intense anxiety daily. My psychiatrist is quite forward thinking in her practice and together, we try alternatives before we move to prescriptions. She recommended I try magnesium citrate to help with the tense and rigid muscles I experience when I am feeling anxious, as magnesium has muscle relaxing effects. When taken regularly as a preventative, I do notice my body is not as tense. This does not work for in the moment relief; for the most benefit, does have to be taken regularly, in my experience. The capsules are bigger than I prefer, the benefit far outweighs the capsule size. Also in my experience, taking my morning dose AFTER breakfast and my evening dose AFTER dinner prevents stomach upset; taken before, with food or on an empty stomach guarantees me an upset stomach. As with any supplement, diet or lifestyle change, partner with a medical professional to determine the best course, plan and dosing.

> 3 dayI take magnesium at night to help with sleep/reduce crazy legs and to get more magnesium that I dont get from my daily diet. This is the kind my doctor recommended to me versus magnesium oxide. I like this pill form because there is virtually no taste, they go down smooth with water, and seem to be digested well. I like that there are no added ingredients or sugar . There are a lot in the bottle which makes them an excellent value for the money.

Greater than one weekThis will be my magnesium of choice from now on. Ive been talking this for a few months and have almost finished the bottle. Ive tried several different brands and types of magnesium to help with my migraines: Solaray, Solgar, Now, Bluebonnet...I cant even name all of the brands. Some were tablets, some capsules. Capsules seem to absorb the best and were easiest to swallow. And Ive taken different types of magnesium: citrate, asporotate, glycinate. This brand of mag citrate is what works best for me. I usually take magnesium at night because it makes me sleepy. A problem I started running into was developing restless legs after taking it. That made no sense because magnesium is one of the few things thats supposed to HELP restless legs. Im starting to suspect that magnesium stearate, which is in many supplements (including the other brands I was taking), was contributing to this. I bought this because Chris Kresser has recommended this brand before, and it doesnt have mag stearate. So far, I havent had the same issue with restless legs. The potency of this seems good. I have figured out that a good dose for me is one capsule every other day. I also take methylated b vitamins a couple times a week because I have the MTHFR mutation, which contributes to my migraines. These two supplements and the monthly anti-CGRP prescription shot have reduced my migraines by about 90% when I am good at sticking to my known lifestyle habits that reduce migraines (regular sleep, regular meal times, avoiding food triggers). I also find mag citrate to be helpful at counteracting the constipation that anti-CGRP meds cause. Im really grateful to have this option available to me.

20-11-2024I learned most of us are magnesium deficient. I suffered from migraines for the last 8 years. Really strong ones that could last 24 hours and would get them almost every 3-4 days. I started taking this along with my complement multivitamin and got off birth control pill and I have gone 2.5 weeks without a serious migraine , a couple small headaches here and there and didn’t need to take an actual prescription migraine pill. Trying to get off those too. My headaches have been a lot less frequent and definitely not as strong and feel like more of an annoyance than actual pain. I think this is definitely helping in some way.
