> 3 dayAfter the headache of an install onto the ceiling of my garage (tall garage; drywall); these bike racks work wonders. I bought 2 after seeing a neighbor had a similar lift. Thinking itd be good for our bikes I quickly got em and tried to install them (Note tried). It took a little while to figure out the best way to get them onto the garage ceiling, though after the struggle in the install, Im loving the space. They easily lift each bike smoothly and the lock mechanism is simple; just like a window blind. The rope so far has held up though is rough on the hands when sliding through your grip. Overall, these bike lifts are great. They are well worth the hassle of installing them, and some may have an easier time with studs exposed in the garage.

> 3 dayThis thing is great. It seems that the rope is better quality than what people complained about before. Installation is super easy (its literally only 6 screws, just need to find the studs). Installed two of these in one hour. The design is simple and just works. Not much to break here.

> 3 daythe instructions are a little questionable, but once installed this is a great way to keep bikes off the floor. Also a good way to lift your bike while tuning the derailleurs.

03-06-2025The installation is solid as long as you find your studs. The pulley system works well; though if the bike gets off balance on the way up, you just rebalance with your hand. My garage has 10 feet ceilings and when the bike is stowed, the bottom of its wheels are right at 6 feet from the floor. This was a little tricky to install. But I dont think its their fault; its always hard to install things into the ceiling. There are two reasons for giving three stars and not four: 1) is that it will hold my mtn bike, but not my short wheelbase recumbent. 2) the locking mechanism requires the rope thread through a hole in a metal plate. That hole has sharp edges that eat at the rope. With regular use, I expect the rope to fray. Id say this is for putting your bike away for an extended period and not for everyday storage.

> 3 dayWas wondering about this product s quality from some of the reviews but am glad I bought it! It it well made, installed easily (directions actually made sense!), and it works great. Contrary to other reports it lifts and drops very smoothly, just pull the rope far enough to disengage the lock. The srews are heavy and I had no problems with them although I did pre-drill the holes. The only issue I anticipate is replacing the rope because the final hole it passes through is not beveled, so it will fray over time. Seems like it would be pretty easy to roll the edge.... but hey, its $16!

Greater than one weekWorks well enough. Nylon rope was frayed in one spot, but should last a while. Directions were terrible. Locking mechanism doesnt. I tied off end on bike to keep it up. Bike pulled up, but uneven. It works well enough and is cheap.

> 3 dayPicture looks like the one we bought previously. But this model relies on the bike to balance itself while hoisting. Naturally one end tips high going up. Could not independently control front height and back height while hoisting. Hooks were flat, so we were concerned the bike might slip off. Returned the product and bought a competitors product that fulfilled all our expectations, and did not have these problems.
