Racor - PBH-1R, Bike Storage, Garage Pulley Lift

A great gadget that, once installed, stores a bike high and out of the way, yet does not require much strength to load the bike in the hooks and hoist it.

Works great, easy to install.

This bike lift works well. The installation, however, was frustrating. I happened to have a piece of 3/4x3 1/2 lumber, which was perfect for attaching the lift to the ceiling. Still, the screws that came with the package were of the wrong type and poor quality. Their heads got stripped easily. Fortunately, I had some #8x2 and #8x3 wood screws that did the job. The overriding reason why one should not bother with this product is the fact that it is sold by another manufacturer at a lower price. Because I have two bikes, I also ordered

Extremely easy to install, good packaging, excellent performance for storing my bikes out of the way, and the price is so reasonable. We have 12 ceilings in our garage and it works flawlessly. I have four bikes hanging now and they are super quick and easy to get them down and put back up. Highly recommend.

Do yourself a huge favor and spend $2 and get new screws that wont strip. I followed the instructions regarding predrilling the holes and the screws still stripped. Took me 1.5 hours for install because of the poor screws. After I bought new screws, the second one only took 30 minutes to install. Once install, the lift worked great.

I bought 6 of these for the garage. We have 11 ft garage ceilings and Im 64 so I was very pleased to know that the bikes would not be a major obstacle for my head when walking under them! Very simple to install and safe pulley system.

The product worked well, initially. After several years the wheels on the pulley mechanism just disintegrated. I have never seen anything like it. Replacement parts are not available.

This was very high quality product. Design was well thought out and was very easy to install. Everything needed was included. Can be used on more than just bikes.
