> 3 dayWorks just as described. Hard to believe it was so cheap. I replaced the line with a longer, thinner polycord because I raise my bike through the garage ceiling into the attic.

> 3 dayI bought several sets of these. I use them for hanging bikes, roof racks, and cargo carriers. Well made, easy to imstall, easy to use. Major space saver. Makes it easy to load or remove things on top of your car. Never got to try it on a removable hard top for a convertible, but I am sure it would be ideal for that as well

> 3 dayI was looking for something that would allow me to store my bikes during the winter....there were many wall hooks and whatnot but I did not want to use a lot of of wall area to store two bikes, preferring instead to use the wall for shelving. I have a tall garage (12 feet in some spots) so I was interested in this product to store the bikes from the ceiling. Very happy with the end result. I was able to store the bikes on the ceiling just beyond the travel of the garage door in spots that I really could not use for anything else. The bikes are high enough that they do not interfere with anything else. The device would be ok if you were using the bikes every day but it might take you about 5 minutes to get the bikes down...in my case they are stored over the winter so it is no issue what so ever. The pulley brackets of the lift are required to be a distance apart that is the same as the distance from your saddle to handle bars...wanting to fasten the brackets into studs in the ceiling but also wanting to locate the bikes perpendicular to them I ended up installing a 2 x 4 of 4 ft length across the studs and then fastening the pulley brackets to the 2 x 4 ...this worked out great. very satisfied... I am now wondering if I can use this to lift up a lawnmower or something similar to store over the winter months...
