> 3 dayA great gadget that, once installed, stores a bike high and out of the way, yet does not require much strength to load the bike in the hooks and hoist it.

> 3 dayGreat system. I have two of these hiding bikes in my condo. I made plywood plaques because where I wanted them fell between joists. They function perfectly.

> 3 dayI bought and installed the Racor bike hoist a few weeks ago. It operates smoothly and appears to be built well-enough to last a long time. I was concerned that it might be easy to drop the bike but the rope-stopping mechanism works great. My small-ish girlfriend has no problems using it. And yes...it definitely helped with my garage re-org.

> 3 dayThis bike lift is relatively simple to install but the installation instructions could be clearer. Once installed it works smoothly and easily and meets all of my expectations.

Greater than one weekInstallation was very easy in my garage, which has an upward-sloping ceiling that is finished in unpainted Sheetrock. I was able to follow the tape and nail lines on the Sheetrock to locate the rafters above, and it took me less than minutes to install each unit (I have three installed so far). It would have been much harder if I hadnt known where the rafters were, and I dont think I would trust wallboard anchors to hold my bikes above my Lexus. The mechanism works smoothly and seems like it will hold up. Time will tell about that.

05-06-2025Cheap Chinese Parts! Bought three of these lifts, the first one I installed didnt even lift a kids bike halfway up when one of the plastic pulleys fell apart. As I lowered the bike, more of the pulleys disintegrated?!? Now, I cant return them as I tried to create a good one from the other two boxes of parts and had to drill the rivets out! All that work to install and every single pully from each box crumbled in my hands! What a waste of time, money, and effort! Follow up: I contacted Racor regarding replacement parts and safety concerns, here is their response: “The Racor products were discontinued early 2021. We no longer have any inventory/parts available and are not aware of any distributor partners with product left either. There is no replacement/substitute item.” If this is the kind of consumer support from a company selling these types of products, treat their customers...BUYER BEWARE as Racor does not care about safe reliable products!

> 3 dayWorks well enough. Nylon rope was frayed in one spot, but should last a while. Directions were terrible. Locking mechanism doesnt. I tied off end on bike to keep it up. Bike pulled up, but uneven. It works well enough and is cheap.

> 3 dayGreat solution for hanging bikes. The bikes all hang nicely on the pulleys.

> 3 dayInstalls quickly, its easy to use, and it does a great job of keeping my bike out of the way in an already busy garage. Great value for the money. As others noted, the screws are cheap but an extra dollar at the local hardware store remedied that.

Greater than one weekThese are OK if you change the rope and mounting screws - something more affordable at $8.99 than $17 & up. I got one of these, a good quality rope and mounting hardware appropriate for my particular application for about a dollar less than this one is selling for at HF.
