This is my second purchase of the ProStor Lift. They are easy to use and quickly get the bikes out of the way in the garage. My wifes coaster bike had a handle bar mounted reflector that had to be relocated because the handlebar hook is a bit oversized when one considers its lifting a bike that might max out at 30#. No big deal. I would have given them a 5th star if the box included a template for mounting the lift on standard ceiling joists. I had to noodle that out and mount the mount on plywood that I then attached to the joists. Good product.

I bought 2 Racor bike hoists and they work great. Some buyers have mentioned their packages contained frayed ropes, as did mine. Nonetheless, all works well and I would purchase this product again.

Good product. The hooks dont seem to hang on to the back of the seat that well. I attached the rear hook to the top of the rear tire. Works much better. Super easy to raise and lower.

When you try to pull it up one side goes up faster than the other, i.e. it doesnt balance itself. Worse, the rope will occasionally slip into the gaps on the sides of the pulleys and get stuck! POS. Would not buy again.

This product is everything it is claimed to be. Well made, finish is great, well designed, and delivered on time. It deserves a nearly perfect score. The only problem is, there should be better instructions for the layout, AND suggestions on how to handle ceiling mounting without studs close to the desired mounting area. Fortunately I am reasonably good at pre-visualize practical clearance issues, and did well in solid geometry. Without those skills, it would have been a very difficult install. For example, how far away from a wall would they recommend mounting this, due to handlebar clearance issues? What about double mounting for 2 bikes? I had several re-mounts because I had guessed wrong on the latter. Like I said, a great product, but be sure to think out actual fitment BEFORE you start mounting this. Plan on a few hours of work if your garage is pretty well packed, like mine. If you have a lot of open real estate, its a breeze.

Works great. I had two already for our bikes. This one I got to use for an extension ladder. Just had to rotate the hooks so it would grip the ladder without twisting the rope.

Install was easy, and it works great. I am very happy with the product. I dont use my bike too often, so this is perfect to keep it out of the way. Lowering and raising is very simple, and takes no time at all.

I have a two car garage in the mountains so I need all the space I can in the winter. This was easy to install and I was able to put the bikes 16 apart. I purchased 3 and I am about to purchase 3 more for my large family. I saw less expensive ones, but after ordering them, I would not take the risk. Lastly, the directions are very straight forward.

I got two of these and both my wife and I really like the way these work for our MTBs. They make it easy to raise and lower the bikes in a very secure manner. One reviewer I read before I purchased these mentioned the hooks are not hooks but L shaped, bent metal (rubber coated) bike connection objects. He mentioned his bike fell off the lift because of this lack of hookness. The bike connection objects I got were indeed hooks but they do have a pretty flat angle in the hook. Think an 80 degree angle instead of a 90 degree as an L will have. We find these hooks to work very well and we have had zero issues with the bikes coming off the hooks even after many uses. My only negative comment relates to the installation instructions. They suggest you drill a pilot hole into the wooden stud using a 1/8 drill bit to guide the mounting screws. The screws they supply are MUCH bigger around than 1/8. With a power driver, these screws and the 1/8 pilot hole make it is nearly impossible to bottom the screws into the stud. They get within about 1/2 of bottoming and just stop. I almost rounded the screw heads as the driver bit was jumping out of the the screw head even when I was really bearing down on the drill to hold the driver bit in the screw head. I have to think I was putting well over 75 pounds of pressure onto the drill and the screws would not bottom. I backed the screws out and re-drilled the pilot holes using a 5/32 drill bit and this worked much better. I still got a very firm, very secure bite as the screws entered and bottomed in the wooden stud and the force required to keep the driver bit in the screw head is much more reasonable. In all other ways the instruction were straight forward and easy to follow.

I bought one at Lowes for $20 and then found the exact same thing here for $15. Works great and have had no issues at all.
