> 3 dayReviewed many furniture straps before I found these. Meant for earthquakes but also wonderful for active toddlers! We had an unstable shelving unit that frightened me every time our daughter even breathed on it. These straps are wonderful. Took about 15 minutes (and a drill) to attach to wall and seconds to attach to furniture. Lots of color choices available. The oak matched perfectly. Now the shelves DO NOT MOVE, not when I clean, not when our toddler walks by, not when shes pulled on it. Im sure theyd be standing after an earthquake too! Purchased another pair in white for a bookcase because I was so impressed.

> 3 dayThese are very easy to install. I am using these on my aquariums to keep them from falling of the stands during an earthquake. They have been through one earthquake but it wasnt strong enough to even move the aquariums but if it were I am sure these straps would make it through a bigger earthquake.

> 3 dayThese furniture straps are great for everywhere, but especially here in California. Ive bought and used many of these for a lot of heavy or tall furniture, like book cases, hutches, cabinets and I used these white color straps to attach my fridge to the wall - dont want that falling on ya when the earth is shaking! Id recommend these also for anyone with small children who can climb and knock things over. Very easy to use (best with an electric drill to get the bolt into a stud) and simple safety and insurance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

> 3 dayThis worked for my new corner china cabinet that did not feel very stable. The cabinet was made with light materials on the two back sides, and heavier wood on the front with glass and just felt unstable, so I ordered the furniture strap and attached the sticky side to the top of the cabinet (where it cant be seen) and then bolted to the corner stud in the wall.

Greater than one weekAs a denizen of the Pacific Northwest, I am trying to prepare for the eventual Big One. I strapped a series of bookcases to the wall with these. Instructions are sufficient. All parts (unless you have metal studs) are included, including some alcohol pads for cleaning surfaces before attaching adhesive Velcro. Personally, I did not use the velcro, preferring to drill some small holes in the top of my bookcases. SUGGESTION: Do not bother trying to drive the screws into the wall using a screwdriver or drill. I tried both, and all I was doing was stripping the screws and my bit. Go get yourself a wrench or socket wrench or similar, 8mm bit is what worked for me iirc. And you should always measure twice (or three or four times) and cut (drill) once. Also, get yourself a nice stud finder and after you find your stud locations and mark your proposed screw holes, check them with the metal finding feature of the stud finder. This is how you avoid drilling into drywall nails and screws. :) Luckily there are two grommets on the straps, so if your first choice grommet hole is over metal, you can switch to the other hole. If we ever have an earthquake, I will update with how they do. In the meantime, they can prevent children tipping over the bookcases.

> 3 dayEasy to install and invisible when placed on top of living room or bedroom units. On one very heavy unit I did drill the part attached to the furniture. I wanted to be extra safe and the velcro worried me a little on that unit. These are strong and I think they should work well in an earthquake.

> 3 dayThese are surprisingly solid! Sort of a cool, industrial type, securing method. The work rack is super secure with two of these and the finished product is pleasing.

> 3 dayEasy to use and install and though we havent had any earthquakes to test it, they seems to be sturdy and like they will hold everything in place. The only drawback is they did damage the wood or coat on the entertainment center, but that may be from user error, someone else installed it and Im not sure what the cabinets are made of and if the instructions may have warned against using it on this type of wood. Either way, a little damage at the back is worth it to keep my family safe.
