> 24 hourWe are really happy with our purchase. These cameras give a super clear picture in day and night. There are 8 of them so we thought it was good value for the money, especially considering the good quality. I ran into a problem connecting to the app, but their support emailed me back very quickly and resolved my issue with just one email.

> 24 hourI plan to buy a total of 8 Reolink systems. So far, I’ve purchased 2 of them but haven’t installed them yet. Seven of the systems will be installed in automatic/self-serve carwashes which are open 24/7, most of the time with no employees present. Every wash is recorded in case of damage claims or malfunctions, and we also use the cameras to check the general status of the washes. The eighth camera system will be for an ice cream place owned by the same company, which is open 7-8 months per year. I’ve given the systems 5 stars because they are excellent for home use, which appears to be Reolink’s main customer target. There are some issues, however, mostly in how the software is implemented, for business users, particularly those with multiple locations. Pros: Very easy to set up for novices. Cameras have good quality video at a low price. Windows client and smartphone apps are generally well thought out with one of the simplest playback user interfaces that I’ve seen. Cons: Although written in good English, the manuals are incomplete. Support for 3rd party cameras is poor and Reolink doesn’t have cameras for some special applications like hidden cameras. Although functional, the Windows client and the smartphone apps can be rather confusing with multiple NVRs. My goal is to keep recorded video for at least 3 weeks before being over written. I plan to record only on motion detection, and I set the frame rate to 15fps. I won’t know whether that is sufficient until the systems have been installed and running for a while. Our two largest sites will have close to the maximum 16 cameras and may require a second hard drive. The user manuals are clearly written but don’t cover many of the features. I was going to downgrade my rating until I found a couple of features that I needed in unexpected places in the menu. At least one manual can be downloaded from the Amazon site but isn’t listed on Reolink’s own website. I bought the first two systems with 8MP cameras. I’m not convinced that the extra resolution makes a significant difference in real-life use. The NVR software lets you select lower resolutions, but I found that it just records a portion of the picture in the middle of the 8MP frame and doesn’t cover as much area. I’ll probably order the other systems with 5MP cameras, saving both cost and recording space. One surprise that I had is that you can log into the NVR, Windows client, and smartphone apps, but you can’t log out of any of them. You can change users rather awkwardly on the NVR using a mouse, but you can’t even do that on the client or apps. As a result, I can’t set up a proper access control scheme. For a single NVR, the Windows client and apps are excellent. The Android app works well on an Amazon Fire tablet. It doesn’t work properly on a Chromebook. For multiple NVRs there is no way to limit your viewing to a single NVR and it can be confusing because you can inadvertently scroll to a different NVR. I recommend only choosing the 1, 4, 8, and 16 camera screen choices.

> 24 hourThis camera was a bit on the pricey side but the quality is very very good. Very clear images and wide angles. The set up and installation was simpler than our last system and was relatively easy. The system was already set up to plug and play. The app set up on phone was very easy but it totally drains your phone battery. This camera system is approx 30lbs shipping weight.

> 24 hourI am very happy with this system and look into things to the nth degree before I buy them. I expect it to be easy and operate without issues when purchasing something in this range and this system has delivered all I was looking for and more. In short, there is nothing i dont like about this setup and it has worked flawlessly. Pros: 1. very clear, crisp images, great zoom, great night vision 2. easy setup with home network, viewable whether your phone is on your home network or out of the house 3. intuitive interface whether logging into the NVR directly, the phone app or the computer app 4. comes with everything you need including very nice weatherproof connections for the cameras. 5. All storage onsite - no cloud fees and no issues recording and saving data if internet goes out 6. Very easy to record clips and save to phone or computer. 7. Easily expandable for more cameras or larger/additional hard drive 8. Power over Ethernet makes for a simple install Observations (not really cons, but not pros): 1. With 8 cameras recording, the hard drive fills up within 2-3 weeks depending on settings. If you would like a longer period backup, it is easily upgradeable by adding an additional hard drive. 2. Make sure you attach all cameras to the NVR and set it up prior to mounting them, much easier not running from camera to camera if theres an issue. 3. Adding a camera and advanced diagnostics seem to be only available when logging directly into the NVR and not over the apps. I have the NVR Located in a place that is difficult to get to, so i had to run an hdmi cable through the attic to a tv in another room and use a wireless mouse that has a good range on it to access the NVR directly. Its annoying, but the rest of the system functionality and quality makes it very much worth it. 4. Tech support is purely through email. I had an issue with connectivity and the cameras dropping out initially. (make sure you update the firmware when you install it, I didnt at first and that was the problem) The tech support responded within an hour with the exact solution to my poorly described problem. They were great. Cons: 1. Motion detection is based on movement for these specific cameras. You really have to fine tune the sensitivity and area of detection for each camera to get a result that does not send a motion alert every few minutes. Reolink has smart cameras that can identify cars and people that work great at avoiding false alarms due to the wind blowing a branch across the cameras view, so when adding cameras look into them as well. If you have read this far, I hope this has been helpful. I would definitely recommend this and after a year I am very happy with the purchase.

> 24 hourI am on the third Reolink dvr under warranty and it just died. It seems the HDMI output keeps failing. I will not send this unit back for warranty after jumping through many hoops, Reolink support having me troubleshoot their defective product for them before they will cover the warranty. And by the way to send the DVR back to them costs $25.00 to ship USPS. They did offer to split the cost of a return once though. They also sent me a warranty camera, which they used as leverage to get me to pay the cost of returning the bad dvr. I am now shopping for a more reliable system with support in this country and on our time of day. you see when it is day here it is night in Riolink land and every communication takes twice as long. Good luck to you if you buy a Riolink system.

> 24 hourI have had this system installed now for a year and a half. ITS GLITCHY!! Installed with cats underground cable, super heavy duty. Made my own connections and theyre perfect. Single cable per camera. Cameras will randomly lose signal. Sometimes they come back on Sometimes not. Reset cams and NVR. Sometimes works. Bought 2 new cameras RLC-810A, my 8 camera kit came with 8 B800 cameras. Thought I was buying the same. Once again more problems. Tech support ( speaks terrible english) says the RLC-810A cams are not compatible with my NVR. THEY ARE COMPATABLE. Today I have 5 b800 and 2 RLC-810A installed and its working fine. Well see what happens tomorrow. Wouldnt buy again

> 24 hourYou can see from the picture that there is a 1/4 of water in the camera the lines is fogy and it burnt out the night vision of the camera. I emailed them about this situation and another have had no response from them. There is no phone # its all on line. There Web sight could be a lot better hard to navigate. They say the cameras are weather proof but looking at some other clients they say they are not. Easy to set up but terrible customer support. Well after some Time they were able to help me out, something about an e-mail problem They did replace the camera and it works well. A contact # would be helpful. Im Happy.
