> 3 dayThe documentation is really lacking, fortunately the startup walks through most everything you need. I have a monitor connected to the NVR as well as the app running on an iPhone and windows PC all of which work great. I replaced a Q-SEE system this if a far better system Excellent customer service. Every time I contacted Reolink by email, had a Quick and thorough response. I am very impressed.

> 3 dayVery happy with the overall quality of these cams and this package. Solid construction of the cameras and ease of plug and play. Also the Reolink app is user friendly and amazing. You will not be disappointed.

Greater than one weekI’ve had this system for over a year I have 16 cameras I’ve had to replace them quite frequently especially the ones on the outside they keep getting water corrosion they Aren’t sealed well for moisture which affects the cameras picture. Customer service is the absolute worst it’s a joke at most you can’t get anybody on the phone nobody will respond to the emails if they do respond is once every four or five days I’ve had to replace six cameras so far I have another six and need to be replaced and that’s been taken over two months to get those replaced do not order this crappy system I have the 4K cameras I have eight megapixel cameras I have 12 megapixel cameras all are problematic the system is slow the cameras aren’t synced trash.

> 3 dayOverall, this is an excellent system (cameras and NVR) for the money. I had upgraded from an old 1080, DVR system, so the newer technology along with 8MP resolution pretty much knocked my socks off. Features I like the most: 1. 8MP resolution – The detail is amazing compared to the 1080 cameras I had. The NVR provides digital zoon, as well. Zooming in at 1080 resolution doesn’t do a whole lot of good. At 8MP and zooming in, hardly lose any detail. 2. NVR – Initial setup is very easy. The settings and menus are intuitive. I didn’t need the manual. The NVR provides a few options for displaying camera inputs (1, 4, 8 with one big display, 9 and 16). 3. The cameras are relatively small and easy to mount. I only had to loosen the adjustment screw to swivel the base so that the wire exited the base in the direction needed. 4. The Reolink app is pretty cool. My wife thinks I’m crazy with all this stuff. I had her install the app on her iPad. When she realized she could see outside with all the cameras, her eyes opened wider and she said, “That’s cool.” 5. Everything worked right out of the box. Features that are OK, but not great: 1. The maximum frame rate is 20. It’s not horrible, but the video appears to stutter a bit, not too much. 2. The camera focal length cannot be adjusted. Since the zoom quality is so good, this isn’t a very significant issue. 3. I would have loved a better camera shutter speed. The detail is lost on moving objects. 4. The night vision is not great. It works well for about 25 feet or so, but it’s not wide enough. Given these are 4K cameras, I had hoped for something better. Might have to get dedicated infrared light sources. 5. The screws that come with it are junk. I recommend using better screws. I snapped the head off 3 of them just tightening them. I highly doubt they are reliable for the outdoors. I have not had to deal with support. Stuff I used, just about all of it purchased on Amazon: • Monitor – TCL 43S425 43 inch 4K TV • TV Wall Mount – VideoSecu ML531BE2 • Cable – Cat6 trueCABLE Direct Burial, 23AWG • Wire Stripper - trueCABLE Wire Stripping and Cutting Tool • RJ45 Connectors – Platinum Tools ezEX44 • Crimp Tool – Platinum Tools 100061C EXO for ezEX-RJ45 Connectors • Cable Tester - Klein Tools VDV526-052 LAN Scout Jr. – Wish I had gotten one that didn’t require both ends to be connected to the same device, but it works well. • Camera Mount Screws – 1-1/4 inch x 8 high performance exterior screws • Pilot Hole Bit – 1/8 inch For the price, this system is an excellent value with all it’s features, especially for 8 4K cameras and a very good NVR. If you’re looking to NOT spend a fortune for a decent 8MP system, this is the one.

> 3 dayI’ve owned this system for almost 2 years now. I’ve been waiting almost 2 years for them to finish the app that goes along with the system. I’ve re ached out to support shot a year ago asking when they would finish the app. They stated it takes time. It was been long enough for me to admit they have no intention of finishing the app. System settings are global. Disabling an alert or buzzer on one camera isn’t easy. You pretty much have to disable notifications and buzzers on all cameras, and remember to log back into the system and enable the settings again. I wish I could get a refund.

> 3 daySo far so good. Purchased the bullet style camera so can’t say anything about dome ones. I didn’t use the supplied cat5e cables. I ran a quality cat6 cable and tested each cable so I know my cable is good. After install I updated the nvr and camera firmware. Picture quality is awesome during the day . Night vision is ok but was Improved once I adjust and brightness. Tech support can’t say, never used it. I like the camera set. So far I have installed 2 systems and both are great. I worked on a system that had amcrest. Good luck with there junk. They had a 8 channel dvr and their system says supports 16 but need a switch. Yeah good luck with their slow choppy videos and nvr that can’t handle the load. This is a better buy. If your on the fence between reolink and amcrest get the reolink. You will be happy. Several months and this system is still working with zero issues. Dont know why some people have issues with the nvr. Make sure to update the cameras and nvr.

> 3 dayHad this system installed for almost two years. All was well until the latest software update. Now several things are messed up. When I open the program to see the cameras on the PC, pixels fade out of three of our cameras. The Playback feature is rendered worthless as there is no way to speed up the video. Before this latest update, I could advance the playback speed to 16X. Now its stuck at 1X. There is no option to go any faster. I have contacted customer support and still no answer. I want the software I have before this stupid update. I DETEST the changes that have been made. In an attempt to improve the software is clunky and now its not even working properly.

> 3 dayI’ve been on a waiting list for this security system from the manufacturer and on Amazon and I’m glad I didn’t settle with another maker. It provides and satisfies my security needs.
