I am very happy with this system and look into things to the nth degree before I buy them. I expect it to be easy and operate without issues when purchasing something in this range and this system has delivered all I was looking for and more. In short, there is nothing i dont like about this setup and it has worked flawlessly. Pros: 1. very clear, crisp images, great zoom, great night vision 2. easy setup with home network, viewable whether your phone is on your home network or out of the house 3. intuitive interface whether logging into the NVR directly, the phone app or the computer app 4. comes with everything you need including very nice weatherproof connections for the cameras. 5. All storage onsite - no cloud fees and no issues recording and saving data if internet goes out 6. Very easy to record clips and save to phone or computer. 7. Easily expandable for more cameras or larger/additional hard drive 8. Power over Ethernet makes for a simple install Observations (not really cons, but not pros): 1. With 8 cameras recording, the hard drive fills up within 2-3 weeks depending on settings. If you would like a longer period backup, it is easily upgradeable by adding an additional hard drive. 2. Make sure you attach all cameras to the NVR and set it up prior to mounting them, much easier not running from camera to camera if theres an issue. 3. Adding a camera and advanced diagnostics seem to be only available when logging directly into the NVR and not over the apps. I have the NVR Located in a place that is difficult to get to, so i had to run an hdmi cable through the attic to a tv in another room and use a wireless mouse that has a good range on it to access the NVR directly. Its annoying, but the rest of the system functionality and quality makes it very much worth it. 4. Tech support is purely through email. I had an issue with connectivity and the cameras dropping out initially. (make sure you update the firmware when you install it, I didnt at first and that was the problem) The tech support responded within an hour with the exact solution to my poorly described problem. They were great. Cons: 1. Motion detection is based on movement for these specific cameras. You really have to fine tune the sensitivity and area of detection for each camera to get a result that does not send a motion alert every few minutes. Reolink has smart cameras that can identify cars and people that work great at avoiding false alarms due to the wind blowing a branch across the cameras view, so when adding cameras look into them as well. If you have read this far, I hope this has been helpful. I would definitely recommend this and after a year I am very happy with the purchase.

Ive come to realize that the most informative reviews are often the bad/worst reviews. This is going to be the most accurate depiction of how the company handles itself when, and if there is a problem. Take my advice, Reolink is horrible. I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews in my consideration of this product. It would have saved me time, money, and alot of headaces. I spent a significant amount of time installing this system in a commerical warehouse and in the end- I dont have a system that actually records. Everything functioned except the recording function. I troubleshot everything I could on my own, including reading all the Reolink FAQs and troubleshooting guides. I finally determined that the HDD wasnt functioning and contacted Reolink. Intially they responded and asked me to check a few things that I had already been through. I advised step by step what I had done and they responded that someone in the RGA dept would contact me. That was a few weeks ago and despite multiple follow up emails, no reponse, nada. I have had to scour and find my own parts to the tune of a few hundred dollars. This is unacceptable and if I didnt have some many hours installing and running cable- I would sent this garbage back. The picture is ok, nowhere near 4k despite using HDMI from the NVR to the 4k monitor and extenders on the long runs of cat5e cable. Do yourself a favor, pass on by this company and make another product selection. Its simply not worth the risk.

I returned the item unused, following their instructions and my credit fell into a black hole. Reolink claims no responsibility for the return although I sent it to their location of choice. I’m getting ripped off $956.00. I sent POD and all!

Overall very happy with this system. Other than running wires (which was a bear) the rest of the setup was easy. After connecting everything the system was up and running in seconds and I was able to see 360 around my house. The day quality is quite good and night-vision is OK, but good enough for my needs. I am out in the woods with no ambient street lighting so its quite dark. The AI is hit and miss. 99% of the time I get the correct motion alarms. Sometimes it misses and sometimes I get a false positive, but Im still working on it. All in all for the one stop shop, relative cost, easy set up and quality of images, I am very happy. It works. As far as tech support ... there is no manual and they really need one. There are a lot of settings and no real single place to find out what they all are and how to se them. It took a lot of search engine research to figure them out. At least as of right now, I would buy it again.

Replaced q see since they went under and already had cat6e run through house. Picture quality is great. Sound too. Day and night. App works good for remote access. Havent had a need for alerts yet..hope I never do either but I am confident with everything else this system does.

First order came defective (fan was screaming) so gave it a second chance and ordered replacement that came fine. Setup was quick and easy. Automatically identified on the network and instantly connected to remote access as well. So far no complaints
