While the system is nice… it’s not very friendly user. Comes with NO manual or instructions. Plug and Play is easily done but, pass that your in the dark. Cameras are clear but, not enough when you zoom in. The microphone in the cameras could be better. I wouldn’t buy again.

Update 9/15 The new system arrived promptly after my conversation with amazon. This system worked as advertised. Due to the initial issue I cannot give this a five star but the company has also sent many many follow up emails making sure my system is functional and I am satisfied. Update 9/4... I worked with amazon and after a while on the phone with a lovely customer service person my replacement is on the way with expedited shipping. If this one works then I’ll modify my rating but for now it remains a 1 star. Reolink finally emailed back with troubleshooting steps beyond what was in the manual and the system was still not functioning. I’m not responding to them since amazon has initiated the exchange and their steps did not solve the issue. Original review... Dead on arrival. No signal to monitor. NVR appears to be functioning it there is no output signal from the HDMI port. I followed the start guide to a T and the troubleshooting guide also. Monitor is verified as good and HDMI cable is good also. I submitted a request for help with Reolink this morning. We shall see how long it takes them to respond. If I don’t hear back by Tomorrow I will attempt to just return as defective and reorder. Will update once the issue is rectified.

I am very impressed with this out of the box solution! If you want PoE cameras this is a very strong solution. The price point is good. Support is excellent. I had a couple of questions prior to purchase and also made an error during set up but the support staff answered in less then 24 hours every time. Answers were accurate. The picture included is my garage in total darkness using the built-in lighting to the PoE camera. If there was an area to improve, I wish that the hard NVR would support Solid State Drives. Other than that I have no issues. I would recommend this system and would purchase again. David

No complaints The cellphone app works great

While I have installed 3 of these units-I do have a lot of likes and a few not so likes. The good-nice and easy setup, NVR is easy, download the app and scan the QR code and it finds your NVR pretty easy. The quality of the images is pretty good-it does depend on which camera setup you get though. The few dislikes are 1-the cameras included with this unit have a little hard time focusing in on license plates-unless they are within 20’ of camera. The night vision is ok and better than most especially within view of the infrared lights. The motion capture is sometimes not great. One camera will catch a car while another one does not. I’ve adjusted the settings to be more sensitive to the cars, so time will tell. I do like the smart motion feature. Here in NE we get spider webs a lot, turning off the all motion and only people and cars helps reduce the search times. By default the cameras are set to record all time. To save your history longer-go in and change the record to motion only and turn off the schedule time. All in all a good system for good coverage.

I have had this system installed now for a year and a half. ITS GLITCHY!! Installed with cats underground cable, super heavy duty. Made my own connections and theyre perfect. Single cable per camera. Cameras will randomly lose signal. Sometimes they come back on Sometimes not. Reset cams and NVR. Sometimes works. Bought 2 new cameras RLC-810A, my 8 camera kit came with 8 B800 cameras. Thought I was buying the same. Once again more problems. Tech support ( speaks terrible english) says the RLC-810A cams are not compatible with my NVR. THEY ARE COMPATABLE. Today I have 5 b800 and 2 RLC-810A installed and its working fine. Well see what happens tomorrow. Wouldnt buy again

So, in general Im very happy. Installed all 8 cameras. They all worked. At 8 x 4K @ 25fps the CPU runs at 45%, gets warm but not hot. Storage requirements are high, and 3TB fills up fast. You can see theres SATA cables and room for a second HD inside the case. Theres also no eSATA port like some older models. I got a Seagate 10TB surveillance camera drive. Disappointed to see that it maxes at 8192 GB, so I could have gone with the 8TB, but combined you can put two 8TB 3.5 drives. Its easy to format, takes 10 minutes to install a second drive, and the OS is on the board, not the drive, so it keeps all your settings and config. I found it easier to put three 1G Ethernet POE hubs in attic and crawl spaces and only run three cables for 8 cameras. It seems to be happy with any POE switch. It uses its own IP space, so the rest of your LAN doesnt directly see it. I created a separate subnet for it on my firewall too to control access to certain hosts. The PC any Android apps are easy to use and adequate. The cameras are very robust. I did go to the companys website and buy specific junction boxes for them. They are aluminium and seem to be worth the expense, but they ship directly from China and take a while to arrive. They hide the wires nicely. Kinda pricey, but I still think the whole setup is a good value. Camera images are great. Night vision is okay. I think I need to fine tune the AI. Dont forget to change the 4K HDMI to full 4K 60Hz if you have a nice monitor or TV for it. The default is 1080p.

Installed this with Orbi mesh router and satellites- using POE hubs attached to satellites. Once cameras placed and connected to POE hub attached to mesh satellite- camera auto configured on the NVR. Very happy with this unit

The documentation is really lacking, fortunately the startup walks through most everything you need. I have a monitor connected to the NVR as well as the app running on an iPhone and windows PC all of which work great. I replaced a Q-SEE system this if a far better system Excellent customer service. Every time I contacted Reolink by email, had a Quick and thorough response. I am very impressed.
