> 3 dayOverall, this is an excellent system (cameras and NVR) for the money. I had upgraded from an old 1080, DVR system, so the newer technology along with 8MP resolution pretty much knocked my socks off. Features I like the most: 1. 8MP resolution – The detail is amazing compared to the 1080 cameras I had. The NVR provides digital zoon, as well. Zooming in at 1080 resolution doesn’t do a whole lot of good. At 8MP and zooming in, hardly lose any detail. 2. NVR – Initial setup is very easy. The settings and menus are intuitive. I didn’t need the manual. The NVR provides a few options for displaying camera inputs (1, 4, 8 with one big display, 9 and 16). 3. The cameras are relatively small and easy to mount. I only had to loosen the adjustment screw to swivel the base so that the wire exited the base in the direction needed. 4. The Reolink app is pretty cool. My wife thinks I’m crazy with all this stuff. I had her install the app on her iPad. When she realized she could see outside with all the cameras, her eyes opened wider and she said, “That’s cool.” 5. Everything worked right out of the box. Features that are OK, but not great: 1. The maximum frame rate is 20. It’s not horrible, but the video appears to stutter a bit, not too much. 2. The camera focal length cannot be adjusted. Since the zoom quality is so good, this isn’t a very significant issue. 3. I would have loved a better camera shutter speed. The detail is lost on moving objects. 4. The night vision is not great. It works well for about 25 feet or so, but it’s not wide enough. Given these are 4K cameras, I had hoped for something better. Might have to get dedicated infrared light sources. 5. The screws that come with it are junk. I recommend using better screws. I snapped the head off 3 of them just tightening them. I highly doubt they are reliable for the outdoors. I have not had to deal with support. Stuff I used, just about all of it purchased on Amazon: • Monitor – TCL 43S425 43 inch 4K TV • TV Wall Mount – VideoSecu ML531BE2 • Cable – Cat6 trueCABLE Direct Burial, 23AWG • Wire Stripper - trueCABLE Wire Stripping and Cutting Tool • RJ45 Connectors – Platinum Tools ezEX44 • Crimp Tool – Platinum Tools 100061C EXO for ezEX-RJ45 Connectors • Cable Tester - Klein Tools VDV526-052 LAN Scout Jr. – Wish I had gotten one that didn’t require both ends to be connected to the same device, but it works well. • Camera Mount Screws – 1-1/4 inch x 8 high performance exterior screws • Pilot Hole Bit – 1/8 inch For the price, this system is an excellent value with all it’s features, especially for 8 4K cameras and a very good NVR. If you’re looking to NOT spend a fortune for a decent 8MP system, this is the one.

> 3 dayUPDATE- The NVR failed and a camera too after 75 days of purchase. Had to pay for return shipping and though Reolink helped me replace the product, the return shipping costs were too exorbitant. Quality control in the product can be much better. The package arrived on time in a single large box. Inside the box there were three rectangular and smaller boxes - two with the cameras and accessories like(cat 5 cables, screws, stickers) and the third one with the NVR and it’s power brick. Feedback to note here is that the Cat5 cables included are very poor quality and not worth it. Ended up using my own Cat6 cables. IP/PoE Cameras: The picture quality is great during day time. Very clear. Night vision with Infrared was not great. Very mediocre. You can improve the camera capability in night mode by adding ambient lighting to your property. Note: Out of the 8 cameras I received one was dead in a few hours. Poor quality control I guess. NVR/Video Recorder: Comes with a power supply brick that is enough to build a home. Large, bulky and poor quality from a make and feel as well. The NVR is powered by a Seagate disk of 3 TB. Works well but you can hear the MVR heat dissipation fan running in the background. Not quiet by any means. Product Support: Reached out to them to get a product replacement for a camera which was dead. Received an email fairly quickly but am still awaiting next steps on replacement etc. Will update this review based on what goes next. Still within my return window, so will return this if the support is not making the on their two year warranty. Conclusion: Good camera quality during the day. Build quality and service support - not up to standards. If you are on a budget go for it, else recommend scaling up to better products.

> 3 dayI am very happy with this system and look into things to the nth degree before I buy them. I expect it to be easy and operate without issues when purchasing something in this range and this system has delivered all I was looking for and more. In short, there is nothing i dont like about this setup and it has worked flawlessly. Pros: 1. very clear, crisp images, great zoom, great night vision 2. easy setup with home network, viewable whether your phone is on your home network or out of the house 3. intuitive interface whether logging into the NVR directly, the phone app or the computer app 4. comes with everything you need including very nice weatherproof connections for the cameras. 5. All storage onsite - no cloud fees and no issues recording and saving data if internet goes out 6. Very easy to record clips and save to phone or computer. 7. Easily expandable for more cameras or larger/additional hard drive 8. Power over Ethernet makes for a simple install Observations (not really cons, but not pros): 1. With 8 cameras recording, the hard drive fills up within 2-3 weeks depending on settings. If you would like a longer period backup, it is easily upgradeable by adding an additional hard drive. 2. Make sure you attach all cameras to the NVR and set it up prior to mounting them, much easier not running from camera to camera if theres an issue. 3. Adding a camera and advanced diagnostics seem to be only available when logging directly into the NVR and not over the apps. I have the NVR Located in a place that is difficult to get to, so i had to run an hdmi cable through the attic to a tv in another room and use a wireless mouse that has a good range on it to access the NVR directly. Its annoying, but the rest of the system functionality and quality makes it very much worth it. 4. Tech support is purely through email. I had an issue with connectivity and the cameras dropping out initially. (make sure you update the firmware when you install it, I didnt at first and that was the problem) The tech support responded within an hour with the exact solution to my poorly described problem. They were great. Cons: 1. Motion detection is based on movement for these specific cameras. You really have to fine tune the sensitivity and area of detection for each camera to get a result that does not send a motion alert every few minutes. Reolink has smart cameras that can identify cars and people that work great at avoiding false alarms due to the wind blowing a branch across the cameras view, so when adding cameras look into them as well. If you have read this far, I hope this has been helpful. I would definitely recommend this and after a year I am very happy with the purchase.

> 3 dayI’ve had this system for about a year. I constantly recieve false alarm non stop. While it might seem user friendly at first, imagine being notified everytime a fly or dust blows in the air. I have the 8MP 4k cameras. My old 5MP cameras will display image but they will not record to my newer device it only supports the 8MP cameras. Also. There is no contact for tech support it’s only email messages which is a slow process. My night owl cameras from Walmart were more reliable and with less false alarms.

> 3 dayEasy enough to install and use! App is great as well, however after a short time only 3 cameras are working. Now I reset them and they work for a day then stop working again, and having to climb 2 stories to reset them I believe they are bad and a waste of time and money !

> 3 day1st of all the cords are too short to be used in any situation unless of course youve got a tiny home, So after you have invested in $400 extra cables then you come up against the problem that no mouse will work with this system except the one they send you which is 3 long so now youre gonna have to have your nvr on your coffee table. Technical support is nonexistent and of course Amazon is as useless as tits on a turtle as usual. The Logitech m185 wireless mouse that Amazon recommends for the system does not work and then they wont return the mouse...lmao
