SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

Its so fast that Sonic the Hedgehog be jealous. My Windows 10 boots up in the blink of an eye on this baby.

Some useful info. 1. This is a Solid State Drive which does not use a pin and wheel to write information. Therefor, this works much faster. 2. This is a pretty standard size and will fit into many laptops. It is 2.5 MM and SATA, your computer needs to be compatible with this. 3. Samsung makes a software called Data Migration (google it for download). This will clone your new drive from your old one. It will copy every bit of data PRECISELY to the way it is on your current drive. Files, Programs, Settings Etc. This will save you $100 from your IT guy doing it. 4. In order to clone, you need an adapter to plug it to your laptop while still having your old drive plugged in, unless your computer can hold 2 drives together. 5. This Vs the Pro version. This is good for everyone who is not doing gaming and graphics. 6. After cloning, you literally just power down your computer, pull out the old drive and put this new one in. My laptop used to take 10 minutes to power up fully. With this SSD it takes 30 seconds!

Came professionally packaged, included cd for migration software and a quick start manual. Very easy to install and copy hdd to ssd. After opening the box it took a total of 10mins to install and copy files then i was done. Very happy with this SSD, my computer boots in 7 secs everytime. Performance game wise is awesome! Can really see a difference coming from my HDD. Would for sure buy again. Edit-November 16th 2017 This bad boy is still lighting fast, I plan to buy another to setup a raid with my current one so to have 500GB. Honestly if you do not have a ssd yet this is the one to get. Amazing quality and worth every damn penny spent!!

I own two of these and they are amazing. Run fast and I really like the samsung software that comes with it.

The SSD itself is performing well. As intended, it really boosted the performance of a higher-end but older laptop. My gripe is that the SSD drive itself apparently does not know it is a Samsung brand device. That would normally be a minor annoyance, if all else was OK, but in this case, it was a show-stopper. The drive cloning software provided by Samsung, packaged with the Samsung SSD, would not operate because it said the new SSD drive was not Samsung brand. After much wasted time trying to make things work, I researched options, found Macrium cloning SW, downloaded it, figured out how to use it, and finally got the drive cloned and swapped in. Macrium also reports the SSD as generic, not Samsung brand.

Arrived earlier than promised and was far beyond my expectations for performance.

Except for some global shipping delay due to lack of proper communication from the courier service, the product is awesome. I have installed it in my lenovo u410 model replacing the 500gb hard disk drive. I havent removed the 24gb ssd which was already present in the laptop. Also I shifted the mode to AHCI from RAID in the BIOS and is working perfectly fine. The samsung cloning software is just awesome. I had some 158gb in my previous hard drive and it started cloning directly. Note that I mean, I didnt created any partition with the ssd before cloning. Just connected with usb to sata cable and started cloning right away. No other check mark here. The variation in boot time has been from 2min 20 sec to 25sec approx. Just loving it !!!!
