SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

Changed out my MacBook Pro Early 2011 HDD to SSD. Very good product. A couple things to note and prepare before you purchase this product. It does not come with the SATA cable. If you dont have one on hand, you should probably order one for less than $10. It came unformatted (not exFAT) so the MacBook does not recognize in disk utilizer initially. After some digging around and I found a old external hard drive adapter. I loaded the SSD up inside the adapter (SATA to USB). However the MacOS still does not recognize the disk but window 10 did. So I format the disk into exFAT. Plug the disk back into the Mac (now it recognized the disk) and reformat AGAIN into Mac OS Extended (journaled) (very important step otherwise you will end up searching for hours in the internet for a solution like I did.

Great price and a great product, my lap top was slow, but after i installed this SSD my computer is very fast. IM very satisfied with this product.

I have purchased more than a dozen of these SSDs for myself and customers. You cant go wrong with a Samsung SSD and the magician software to maximize the performance of your desktop/alptop. I no longer purchase or recommend anything else for a boot drive for your operating system. The difference between one of these and a mechanical drive is night and day. The boot time from start to desktop fully loaded (no more hd activity) on several of my systems is 15 seconds or less, in comparison a mechanical drive takes 60-90 seconds. This is just astonishing!

Love the speed improvement over my older hard drives. Transitioning to SSD was the easiest move I have ever made, I only wish I had done it sooner. The configuration and setup of the new drive was painless. Its performance is fantastic, loading my desktop in mere seconds is always a winner winner chicken dinner to quote Guy Fieri.

Was irritating to set up, now i have a weird program called samsung magician on my computer. would of gave 5 stars otherwise.

Easy install. Used the enclosed migration software to clone my old drive. Didnt boot up at first - thought Id have to retry the cloning. Decided to make usb boot from software downloaded from Microsoft site, did a boot repair and all was well. My old Toshiba Portege R705 is now quiet as a mouse. The boot speed is amazing. No time to go make a cup of tea while Photoshop opens anymore. Its up in a an eye-blink. When I remote in from another computer it connects in a snap - no lag no longer! So very happy I did this. Well worth the $$

came on time. Software made it easy to mirror copy old hard drive. This SSD drive cut boot time from 95 seconds to 45 seconds.. it is super fast and works great.
