Great upgrade for my Mid-2012 MacBook pro. Computer runs much faster now with this product and 8GB of RAM.

Girlfriends laptop was slowing down to a crawl, figured out it was the HDD. Replaced it with a new age SSD from Samsung. EVO series strikes again with super fast boot times and 0 issues!

Ive got two now, one is a backup. So far theyve preformed as well as Id expect. The reviews Ive read convinced me its a good product. I used Macrium to copy from the org. sata drive and use a Seatray docking station to clone the drive. I use Windows 7 software.

This is my second one of these babies! I loved the first one I got so much that my girlfriend wanted one too. If you have never used an SSD drive it is like NIGHT AND DAY for your computer. You WILL notice a huge speed difference. In most computers the hard drive is the bottle neck. It is the thing that slows the hole system down. Even if you have a 7500rpm, 10,000rpm or a 15,000rpm spinning hard drive you will notice a difference that is night and day with an SSD drive. I chose this particular drive because of performance. If you look up speed tests for this drive and others you will see that it is a screamer and it has a killer warranty. How much faster will your Windows experience be? Typically when you turn on your computer it has a BIOS screen that pops up and gives you options to change settings or boot options, then it flashes and Windows says it is loading... or it just has some Windows icon that dances, shimmers, whatever. This is the core operating system loading up. This time will be cut down to one shimmer or one Knight Rider Kitt scan depending on your version of Windows. Speaking from a Windows 7 standpoint: next you will get a login screen, or it will go straight to your desktop. But once the desktop is loaded you will notice activity on the lower right side of the screen as your anti-virus software loads, Windows Solve PC issues loads, Acrobat reader, dropbox, your sound icon, icon for the internet, it might start connecting to the internet if on wifi, your printer drivers, various drivers for mice, keyboard, laptop touch pad, etc... so even though you see your desktop if you try interacting with it or loading a program there is still a lag... NOT ANYMORE! If your Solid State Drive is your main windows drive and you have installed the program files from things like anti-virus onto it then all of those things will populate instantly and your computer will immediately be ready to use. Mine now takes 10 seconds from power on to being ready. It used to take about 45 seconds. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone who needs a hard drive! I also recommend the SABRENT 2.5 to 3.5 Inches Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting Kit (BK-HDDH) to put it into a tower, mini-tower, normal computer. No kit is needed for a laptop.
