Awesome SSD, no issues so far. Currently in my new build and this SSD contains my OS and some games I frequently play. Not much else to say about this product other than I wish I bought one with a higher capacity!

Upgraded from an older HDD to this Samsung. Easy installation and definitely sped up my computer. It is faster all around but the quicker boot-up is amazing. If I had one complaint, it is that it doesnt come with the tray or cord to install in a tower, but that was probably an oversight no my end.

I cant say much, as this is my first SSD, but I can definitely confirm how great it is. More battery life, less heat, weighs less than a standard HDD, and theres a huge boost to my system now.

Just received this drive and its basically dead. I cant clone it, cant create a partition on it. Pretty useless, lets see how it goes with returns or replacements as I waited a while to receive this. UPDATE: Received replacement drive and was able to clone drive with Samsung software included. So far its super fast, lets see if I have any issues after several months of use.

Got this to breathe some life into an aluminum unibody Late 2008 Macbook. Replaced the original Toshiba 120GB 5400rpm drive that was running the latest OSX El Capitan with 4GB RAM. I used a Sabrent cable to connect via USB and Carbon Copy to clone the original drive, tested by booting from the USB attached drive then just swapped out the drives in the lap top. Everything went smoothly and it has helped performance. My basic tests for timing were: boot up from scratch before = 2:15, after = 1:30 (not the great improvement here I was looking for, but still better) but for some programs: Word 2008 before = 1:30, after = 10 seconds (HUGE improvement here ... I hate Word but necessary evil this case), Safari before = 8 seconds, after = 4 seconds. Using Black Magic to test disk I/O: Before - read and write both around or slightly below 50MB/sec ... After - read = 267MB/sec, write = 195MB/sec. Huge improvement here, not the max this SSD is capable of but as fast as the older Macbook controller will allow apparently. All in all, a great upgrade that made an old late 2008 Macbook that was becoming unbearably slow become usable again.

Great purchase! I am a seasoned IT professional and would highly recommend Samsung SSD drives to anyone looking to spruce up their machine. There ARE other brands out there, but the electronics dont seem to compare to the reliability and performance of a Samsung drive. Intel drives ARE better, but for the price, Samsung drives are just as good and must more economical..... as well as just as reliable. I got this drive about 2.5yrs ago, travelled Europe with my laptop running this drive and used it for gaming. Id consider myself a heavy user as it was ran on a gaming laptop also used for photo editing. The drive has exibited no signs of failure..... I HAVE had OCZ SSD drives fail on me after about a year and a half. Great buy, would highly recommend to anyone looking to get into an SSD.
