Very fast. Love the performance of these drives. Also a big plus for me is that you dont need to cable manage.

WOW! testing the speed of this vs a SSD SATA 6.0 it loads 3.5x faster. A great update if your motherboard supports it. Its running on my Asus 470x

It was running a little hot between (55-65 C) on motherboard with m.2 heatsink, removing a sticker from m.2 drive drop the temperature about 10-15 C

Works great and has great capacity, exactly the solution I needed for a bloated Steam library. Be warned that it does not come with the screw that may be necessary to actually affix it to your motherboard, so you may need to buy or beg it separately if it is not already present on your motherboard.

9 months and still working! Quite easy to install it, it would be nice to have also the screw for it, to fix it.

Cant beat the speed of the nvme interface. Fastest i/o currently available. I upgraded from the 960 pro to the 970 2tb. Also has opal 2 support , using a pba image from sedutil for locking and unlocking the drive. Full hardware encryption

Fast, durable and not so hot as other NVMe SSDs.

M.2 takes a very special type of screw to screw into your motherboard, and it is not provided with this drive. Seems like a very stupid thing since most people dont keep packaging for years from their mobo purchases. I am one of the people who does keep these packages, and my motherboard still did not have the screw required for the M.2 drive. Honestly this is insanely frustrating because I needed this drive in a hurry, and now Im delayed another day because I have to go find a stupid little screw to screw this in, all so samsung could save $0.00005 per item sold.

I have been salivating over these drives for some time, so when they went on sale I picked up two: one as a game drive for my system and one as an upgrade for my wifes. Behind the shields in the photo are two 970 Evos: a 1 Tb as a main drive, and a 500 Gb as a game/scratch drive. I used Samsungs Magician cloning tools to transfer my wifes main drive and it worked *almost* perfectly. I could not get it to boot to the new NVME until I disconnected ALL of her other drives, then it booted without any problems and all became right in the world.... This was not a Samsung issue, but a MOBO issue--the Bios was simply confused and thus worthless for choosing boot options etc. Giving the system no physical choices but one did the trick, in addition to handfuls of my hair.
