Have been looking into SSDs for a while now. Caught this on sale, had to pull the trigger on it.

What can I say about this? These are the absolute best. Lightning fast and easy to set up.

This drive is fantastic. High storage capacity, speedy, but why didnt it come with standoffs for its own installation? That cheap addition in the box would have bumped these four stars to a five.

I put this in onto my ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 MB. Its compatible and works as advertised, not much else to say about that. Im on Windows 10 Pro and you do need to format it in the windows disk management section before it will show up in file manager.

It was easy to install and is plenty of room

This SSD is the perfect balance of price to performance. You could pay double the price its bigger brother the 970 pro but you wont notice a difference unless you benchmark it. Plenty of storage room and insanely fast write/read speeds. M.2 SSDs are my go to for storage as they are easily mounted with a single screw and dont need a sata and sata power cable in your case.

I was only able to get about 835mb/s read speed out of it. Talked to my expert and turns out my mobo has only limited support of the PCI-e drive interface. This is something that I absolutely was unable to determine before I bought it so be careful if your mobo is a few years old and an early adopter of the PCIe interface like mine. If I had known I wouldnt have bothered and just used the 860 Evo by itself which runs over 560mb/s anyway and saved a few bucks and trouble.

All I can say is that I ordered another one because I was so pleased with it.
