Samsung is still faster than almost any other M.2, and their prices are dropping little by little. Realistically you only notice a difference between the PRO and EVO on paper because theyre too fast to be noticeable. Ive used everybody elses too, though, and my biggest condition is price anymore. A Westen Digital is a Toshiba OCZ is an XPG Gammix as far as noticeable speed to the naked eye. The difference will be how long they last. And in years now, Ive never had a single failure with an M.2 (and only 1 DOA on a standard sata SSD, a Mushkin Triactor). I have at least 1 HDD in every system I build for back up, but so far never needed it in any build. Im personally using 4 computers all the time, and building and selling 2-3 a month so Ive got some real world perspective. Samsungs great, for now, fast and reliable.

I am happy with this product. I bought a 500GB Samsung 970 EVO. I Know the Smaller Drives usually do not hit the Specifications. This one did. Very fast and Inexpensive. 3500 read/ 2500 write. The Price jumps up on the EVO Plus or the Pro version. I am satisfied with this purchase.

seems to work fine inside my Lenovo X1 Yoga. Installation was a breeze. A word of caution: cloning software for sale on the internet EMBEDS itself in the deepest levels of your OS and is VERY hard to remove afterwards. I used AOMEI and first, they charged me 3 times before activating my Code, then when I dual-booted Windows 10 with Linux Mint 20, I spent over an hour and had to uninstall BOTH OSs because of the cloning software (one full day wasted). The Samsung drive itself however seems perfect for my word-processing work.

This is a great disk. So why the 3 stars? Because you never need this type of speed in a daily day use. Take my advice, save yourself money and get a normal ssd. You will not notice the difference unless you run a benchmark.
