My go to suggestion to anyone wanting a M.2 SSD

It are fast, make computer vroom.

I bought both this and the 970 PRO. The Pro is my OS and the EVO is my backup drive for my MSI Tomahawk MB. Moving data back and forth between the two NVME drives are insanely fast. Blows my mind why people will still use SATA these days. Great price as well!

Speeds as advertised. The Samsung data migration software cloned my existing SSD boot drive in 8 minutes(!) and the Samsung is now my boot drive and working flawlessly. Well worth a few extra bucks over other SSDs in my opinion.

Ordered when I thought my SSD had died... Turns out I didnt even need it. None the less I am truly impressed with the difference in speed. My SSD would boot in around 20 seconds, now from cold boot Im gaming in less than 10.

I used the following inexpensive adapter to upgrade my 2014 Macbook Air:

This M.2. drive is small, fits right on the motherboard, and for my motherboard, utilizes the PCIe x4 setup, so its super fast at reading at writing. boots up super quick, saves large files very fast, and looks cool af on my board. Be sure to turn OFF Hibernation mode, Page Filing, Superfetch, and Defragmenting. Disabling all that will make your M.2 drive last a long time.

Does NOT work with SATA SSDs or 2012 Macbook A1398 -2512 Macbook Pro, But in the process of returning it i did some research and saw that it is a really quality product for anybody that is trying to upgrade one of the computers that it actually works with.
