> 3 dayExcellent speed, reduced battlefield loading times in Total War: Warhammer 2 from 1+ minutes to 20ish seconds. The controller chip gets way too hot to touch and needs active cooling in my opinion. I dont think those heat spreaders will keep it cool enough to maintain the high transfer speeds if you primarily water cool your system. And old northbridge heatsink and fan does the trick nicely.

> 3 dayInstalled these drives in an Intel Nuc. After a few benchmarks, these are easily twice as fast as the Intel NVMe drive that came with the computer. Been using Samsung SSDs now for years and expect these to be solid for years to come. Would definitely purchase again.

> 3 dayWindows opens up like in 6 seconds. A big upgrade from my 860 evo which booted into the desktop in approx. 14 seconds. Weirdly, I dont know if this is an added benefit of this ssd but when I try to alt tab Destint 2 it does that in an instand. Before that, when I was using the said ssd, the system would freeze a bit and the screen would jitter. Nothing like that happens now, its buttery smooth.

> 3 dayFastest M.2 SSD on the market. Had to get instructions for my laptop, but was worth it. This SSD is capable of 3,500MB/s. I have a Sager notebook with 7700HQ (2017 tech) and Im getting 2,200MB/s. Windows boots in 3-4 seconds after the Sager splash screen.

Greater than one weekI could have spent about $200 more to get the 970 PRO, but its nearly impossible to justify the additional expense for a speed difference that is imperceptible.
